What’s that saying that people do.. white rabbit, white rabbit, white rabbit, at the start of a month for good luck or something? well…. the rabbits here decided to create their own version that goes… sick white rabbit, sick white rabbit, sick white rabbit

And you guessed it! It involves three sick white rabbits at the start of the month! 🙃 (5 total this past week!)

Yuna thankfully bounced back quite quickly but little noodle and cupcake required hospitalization to get their issues under control, they have thankfully been able to come home today and are doing much better! (Floppy ears are just due to IVs and should pop back up)

Thank you Sharp Exotic & Small Animal Veterinary Clinic for getting these two on the mend ❤️‍🩹

~ Noodles lumpy jaw ordeal ~

Noodle has been with us for just under 5 years and has been quite a healthy boy this entire time until earlier this year he presented with an abscess located on his lower jaw, thankfully under the care of Centre for Avian, Reptiles and Exotics he has since made a full recovery and his back to his normal crazy self 🐇♥️

Name: Toffee
Estimate age: 4-5 years.
Neutered.
Last vaccination 2024, not up to date yet.

Ideally looking for a free roam indoor home with access to a safe outdoor space, currently single so would like a bunny friend or a few 🐇💞🐇

If a "rescue" isn't properly vetting their rabbits, move on to another one.

Ask questions. Ask for records. Ask for vaccine status, proof of spay or neuter. There are a TON of really great rescues all over the country who actually care and actually vet their bunnies.

Not only have we had to take in rabbits from some of these sham "rescues" but they take resources, donations, etc and then they dont properly care for the animals. To me this seems to be beyond irresponsible. To me, it looks like intentionally taking advantage of donors.

Anyway I have a fantastic list of ACTUALLY good rescues if you need a rec for your area.

Lets stop encouraging the people who give ethical rescues a bad name, shall we??

Ope and I know this is will really p**s some ppl off and tbh if it hits you hard and you run a rescue.. maybe reflect on what you're skipping for your rescue residents and make some changes.

Bugsy boy 🧡

This guy was in quite a bad way earlier this week with a badly bloated stomach (this boy and July don’t seem to be a good mix.. as he went through a similar situation this time last year)

But thankfully after a stay at Centre for Avian, Reptiles and Exotics (despite him putting up quite the protest about receiving treatment..) he has made a great recovery and is back to his favorite activities: napping in the sun, eating and snuggling his friends 🌱☀️

Yumi demonstrating very nicely why hutches and cages are not appropriate for rabbits 🚫 they need space, lots of space available to them 24/7 to run around and play 💚



(This outdoor area is only for supervised play time, as it is not predator proof, they live indoors in their own room)
