Excitement as we get to the end of the breeding season: we are expecting 4 foals by our stallion FHM (Fürst Wilhelm x Don Henrico x Wolkentanz). 2 of them out of our Grand Prix dressage mares Callaho Deja Vu (by Dageraad x Ruben) and Rosengirl (by Rotspon x Matcho AA).

Congratulations also to the private breeders who used FHM this year. After this FHM will be available for breeding through frozen semen only, as we will be concentrating on his competitive career!

Massive thanks to the genius of Dr Carel de Bruyn of Breedmore (Halfway House Vet / De Bruyn Equine), not only for getting the mares pregnant, but for looking after our stallion and mares so well!!

We welcome a new addition to the dressage pony string: BEN-HUR TRISTAN, a very handsome Welsh Section B gelding by D'Leni Bannut Gi**lo x Foresyte Prince Edward. Excited for 2021!!

Successful show at the DSA Challenge (Freestate and Northern Cape leg), with excellent scores for Lané Laubscher (11), Joan Blumenthal (15) and Alan Conradie (17), who are all now leading their age groups / levels nationwide! One more leg to go (Western Cape) in 2 weeks.
Thank you to the judges Mrs Carla Jacobs & Mrs Lesley Mawhinney, the Kimberley Equestrian Club, helpers and officials.

And a shout out to the parents of these kids who support and believe in these kids and in our dressage training program. Next stop for these young & dedicated equestrians: 2020 SA Youth Championships 14-17 Dec in Johannesburg!!

Successful 2020 Northern Cape Dressage Champs, held at Razdi Stud!
Jaco Fourie and Callaho Gunsmoke scored 68% in the FEI Prix St Georges, and 74% to secure the 2020 Northern Cape Adult Champion's title. They were also part of the victorius Frances Baard District Team with an average team score of 72%.

Athletes coached by Jaco at the show were:
Lané Laubscher (Razdi Pick Me)
Joan Blumenthal (Razdi Rooby Dooby & Reminische)
Alan Conradie (Callaho Fabriccio & Jalisha Royal Lady)

All these riders and horses had scores over 70%!

Thank you to the judges, officials and organisers. A very special mention to the parents and support teams of these riders, who so selflessly invest time, money and emotional energy in the sport and for their belief in our training system!!

Back in the competition arena after a 2-year break: Jaco Fourie entered the SAW gelding Callaho Gunsmoke (Granulit x Land Earl) in the FEI Prix St George class at the KEC 60th Anniversary show, and ended up winning on 71%. At this show he also coached the multiple winning athletes Joan Blumenthal, Lané Laubscher and Alan Conradie. Thank you to the organisers, volunteers and National judge Grant Store for officiating. Next show: Northern Cape Dressage Championships 3-4 October 2020.

Happy Spring Day! Rising 3 year old pony, Areion Lion King (by Fronarth Brynmor out of Meriden Magnolia by Dimmock Dragonfly). Just the coolest dude with a solid, calm temperament. Still a couple of years before hitting the ring, but in the mean time cuddles and carrots from the kids!

Covid Compliant!!!!! It took half a day and some admin, now I just have to put the required things in place. Great service, they did all on my behalf. We will be ready for business when needed, pity breeding season is now over!!

The Northern Cape province is the largest province by square km but definitely not by inhabitants!! The sparse population and vast distances between towns, let alone major centers, make it difficult to attract riders for central shows in any discipline. Yet, this province is represented at the 2019 SA Youth Championships by a dressage contingent that is mainly concentrated around Kathu and Kimberley. Today, day 1 of the champs, the Northern Cape had 7 entries at the Championships, and they won 5 dressage classes!!
The Razdi Stud (also from Northern Cape) is by far the most successful sport horse Stud represented in dressage at these champs.
Massive congratulations to the riders, the stars of the future, and thanks to the parents for their support and belief in these kids!!

Another step closer to (hopefully) get horses exported to the EU without a 90-day layover in Mauritius.

The European Union (EU) has agreed to an audit of South Africa’s bloodstock export protocols and has committed to announce the date of the audit in the next few weeks

In 2014 Jaco Fourie set out for a career in developing other coaches. It has been a long and winding road, but it finally starts to pay off and come together.

Designated Coach Developer for Dressage SA.
Accredited Coach Developer for SAEF.

Now awaiting the outcome of the SASCOC interviews for the designation of National Coach Developer across all sports.

After that some academic studies to gun for National Coach Education Advisor.

Nothing is impossible. Even the word says "I'm possible"...

Thank you to all the role players who helped (and continue to help) equestrian sport (and sport in general) to progress into modern times along with the sporting leaders in the world!
