Today is a very sad day at Basjan Boerboels as we celebrate the life of a fallen hero🕊️

Our hearts are heavy and deeply sore as we say our final goodbye to Afrika Doppies — our foundation male and the cornerstone of Basjan Boerboels for nearly 8 years.

Doppies walked every chapter of our lives with us. He was more than just a dog — he was family. A loyal protector, a gentle guardian to our children, and the true embodiment of the Boerboel temperament we strive for.

We are incredibly grateful for every moment, every memory, and every opportunity we had to showcase him in the show ring. His presence was powerful, unforgettable, and impossible to ignore.

Dop, your legacy lives on through your offspring, and we will treasure it forever. Thank you for everything you have given — not only to us, but to the Boerboel world.

May your name always be remembered as the legend you are.

Gone too soon, but forever in our hearts.

🏆 SABBS 2026 International Boerboel Show 🏆

Once again, what an incredible experience and privilege it has been to attend and participate in the SABBS 2026 International Boerboel Show.

We are immensely proud of our dogs, our handlers, and everything they achieved this weekend.

✨ Our Results:
• Class 3A (9–12 Month Female) – 🥈 2nd Place: Basjan Essie
• Junior Handler (Under 13) – 5th Place: Herlu Klopper
• Class 8A (2–5 Year Female) – 6th Place: Basjan Aster
• Class 8B (2–5 Year Male) – 4th Place: Middelpos Xander
• Female Family Class with Two Offspring – 4th Place: Afrika Ounooi

🌟 Special Achievements
• Basjan Patrys was awarded Highest Appraised Female of the Weekend with an outstanding appraisal score of 86.6% at 13 months old.
• Jenevieve Klopper was honoured with the 2nd International Judges' Handler of the Year Award.

As the Basjan family, we are truly grateful for the opportunity to showcase our dogs on such a prestigious stage. Every show is a learning experience that motivates us to keep improving.

We leave this weekend inspired, determined, and excited to continue working hard. We look forward to returning next year better, stronger, and even more prepared.
