🇿🇦 HERITAGE DAY — OUR HERITAGE, OUR BOERBOEL, OUR LEGACY 🇿🇦
Heritage is more than history written in books. It is what we inherit, what we live, what we love, and what we choose to pass on.
As an Afrikaner family, our heritage is deeply personal to us. It lives in our language, our family stories, our traditions, our connection to the South African soil, and in the values handed down to us through generations.
And for our family, that heritage has four legs. 🐾
The Boerboel has a special place in our Afrikaner heritage. For generations, these magnificent dogs have stood alongside Afrikaner families on the farms and homesteads of South Africa — protecting homes, watching over livestock and sharing everyday life with the people who raised them.
When we look at a Boerboel, we don’t simply see a dog. We see a piece of our history. We see the dog that stood beside our forefathers. We see a living connection between generations.
That is why what we do at Basjan Boerboels means so much to us.
We are proud to be Afrikaners. We are proud of our heritage. And we are profoundly proud to be custodians of this magnificent South African landrace.
Being a custodian means carrying something forward that is bigger than ourselves. It means respecting where the Boerboel came from, protecting the qualities that make it unique, and striving to leave something worthy for the generations that will follow us.
This is our heritage.
This is our Boerboel.
This is part of our family’s story.
And this is a legacy we are proud to carry.
🇿🇦 Proudly Afrikaner. Proudly Boerboel. Proudly Basjan.
Happy Heritage Day from our family to yours 🐾❤️🇿🇦
