A healthy reptile starts with the right diet. Here are a few simple tips to keep mealtimes on track.

🥬 Know your species
Some reptiles are herbivores, some are insectivores, and others are omnivores or carnivores. Make sure you're feeding a diet suited to your reptile.

🦗 Offer variety
Where appropriate, a varied diet can provide a broader range of nutrients and keep feeding interesting.

💧 Fresh water is essential
Always provide clean, fresh water, even if your reptile doesn't drink often.

🦴 Don't forget calcium
Many reptiles benefit from calcium and vitamin supplements as recommended for their species.

📏 Feed the right amount
Overfeeding can lead to obesity, while underfeeding may affect growth and health. Follow feeding guidelines appropriate for your reptile's age and species.

Food and water are essentials, but a happy small pet needs a little more.

Enrichment gives your pet opportunities to explore, play, forage, chew, dig and hide — just like they would naturally.

And it doesn't have to be complicated! Try adding tunnels, bridges, hideaways, safe chew toys and different textures like hay or grass mats. You can even scatter some of their food around their habitat to encourage natural foraging.

Keep things interesting by rotating toys and occasionally changing up their habitat. A little variety can help prevent boredom, encourage exercise and mental stimulation, support healthy teeth and give your pet a safe space to relax.

Because a happy habitat isn't just about what's in it — it's about what your pet gets to do in it.
