🐾💙 A FEEL-GOOD STORY 💙🐾
Sometimes, all it takes is a little compassion, a helping hand, and a willingness to educate to make a world of difference.
We received a call about a dog who was kept on a short leash, exposed to the hot sun, with no food, no water, and no shelter.
Our inspectors knew they had to step in, not only to assist the dog but also to educate the owner on the importance of responsible animal care.
And the difference started that very same day!
Our inspectors delivered a kennel to protect the dog from the elements and had an educational discussion with the owner about the basic needs of a dog and how to care for it properly.
But the story doesn't end there!
Our inspectors returned the very next day to assist with installing a running wire, giving the dog more space to move around. Even better, the owner himself moved the kennel to a more suitable spot where the dog could enjoy some much-needed shade. The dog now has a kennel, access to fresh water, and food!
At SPCA Bloemfontein, we believe in three important things:
🐾 EDUCATE. Help owners understand their responsibilities.
🐾 ASSIST. Step in and provide help where it's needed.
🐾 MONITOR. Follow up and ensure progress is being made.
Because every animal deserves care, compassion, and a chance at a better life.
This is why we do what we do — always here to serve our community, one animal at a time. 🐾
Together, we can make a difference! 💙
