🦄A coaching career highlight 💙 our first GPR Riding Badge workshop focusing on Awareness, Perspective, Learning Theory and Horsemanship with our Advanced riders.

A step by step system, designed to move through each phase of the learning triangle. 18 months in the making. (And inspired by Karin Bowen and Chance)

• Practical Riding
• Horsemanship
• Theoretical knowledge

“One of the hardest parts of horsemanship is realizing the horse can only go as far as our ability to guide them” ~ Nate Eicher

These riders probably have more than 50 National Titles between them, and on Friday I once again realized that is the least interesting thing about them. Their willingness to learn, put the horses first and better themselves is truly amazing.

We got to check a few things of our Check Charts 💪 building towards testing for our first Riding Badge.😎

Thank you New Views for capturing the behind the scenes of this special occasion🌿

Another chapter closed, but I could not have scripted it any better if I wanted to. An incredible freestyle from Caro Nel and Berghof Florestar GPR to win their very last Sanesa championship on an amazing 73.36% 😍🤎 🥇

My favorite moment of today was when Caro’s mother, Chorine passed Caro her tailcoat, water bottle and took Star’s boots off one last time just before she went into the class. It brought back all the memories from years before, through countless Sanesa shows, of Chorine doing the exact same thing. With Caro riding Savannah and Tuffy(she sometimes managed to stay on and finish the test, but not often🫣😂) and then Florestar, who came with his own set of expectations and circumstances. There were so many more downs than ups in those initial years, but with amazing grit and determination Caro and Chorine kept on going, improving and eventually capped off a Youth Career with 2 Gold medals and a Silver at the Sanesa Nationals, as well as a full house of gold medals at the SA Youth Championships. (And we still have the DSA Challenge results to come🤫😉)

A fairytale of ending, built by the most incredible team of mother, daughter and one very special horse💙

Congratulations Caro, Chorine and Florestar. It’s been a privilege. And I can’t wait to share in and cheer on whatever comes next. If past results are anything to go by, it will be just as amazing 💪
