NATIONAL SUCCESS IN BLOEMFONTEIN! 🏆

What an unforgettable week at the SASPO National Poultry Show 2026!

The competition this year was incredibly tough, which makes this moment feel even more special.

We are beyond proud to announce that our Black Orpington hen absolutely excelled on the national stage. In a massive turnout of 308 Orpingtons judged this week, she took home:

🥇 1st Place – Hen Class
🖤 1st Place – Black Variety
🥈 2nd Best in Breed (Reserve Champion Orpington)

To stand second overall out of over 300 exceptional birds is an absolute dream come true. We are incredibly grateful for the judges' recognition, and so proud of how she represented the breed!

A massive thank you to SASPO, the organizers, the judges, and everyone who attended, supported, and made this such an excellent national show.

The sportsmanship and quality of poultry on display this year was top-tier!

Time to head home, celebrate, and give these birds some well-deserved rest!🐓🥂
