South Africa's Boerboel heritage was proudly showcased at the SABBS International Boerboel Show 2026, where Bandit Orion from Bandit Boerboels was crowned Dog of the Year, Senior Champion, Grand Champion, Winner of Class 7B Males [18–24 months] and International Champion for 2026.
Owned and bred by Bloem's Ziyaad Issa, Bandit Orion impressed judges with his exceptional structure, movement, temperament and breed characteristics, reflecting the kennel's commitment to preserving the authentic South African Boerboel.
The achievement follows Bandit Boerboels' Runner-Up finish at the 2025 SA Studbook Elite Awards and further highlights the kennel's dedication to responsible breeding and breed preservation.
"Recognition is never the goal – it's a reflection of serious dedication behind the scenes to maintain the Boerboel's authenticity," said Issa.
Issa also thanked the SABBS Annual International Show and Expo organisers, judges, sponsors, the SABBS Board and all those who contributed to the event's success.
