Dervely English Cocker Spaniels

Directions

Dervely English Cocker Spaniels KUSA registered breeder. Third generation kennel since 1976, founded by Joan Booth who grew up with cocker spaniels.

Joan Booth, who, as a child, grew up with Cocker Spaniels herself, founded Dervely Kennels in 1976. The founder Cocker Spaniel bitch of Dervely Kennels was brought from the UK with the family when they immigrated to South Africa in 1975. She was born out of the top-winning Glowhill Kennels and was bred from, producing puppies that have resulted in the Kennels current nine generation breeding line. Two of Joan’s daughters, Karen & Lynne ,Karen’s daughter Jessica and Lynne’s son Matthew, began showing dogs at an early age and have continued with the Dervely Kennels themselves. Numerous dogs have been imported from Scotland, UK, Sweden and Portugal to improve the breeding line & Show winnings over the years have resulted in many Champions being produced out of the Kennel.

A great weekend at Midlands and Wits Kennel Clubs. Dervely dogs bred and/or owned by us were awarded 3 x Best of breeds, 5 x CC, 1 x RCC, 1 x Grp 3 and 1 x Puppy Grp 1. Congrats to Dervely Elof Olga Estrela for gaining his Champion Status (KUSA pending). A proud weekend for Dervely Kennels! Not forgetting little Miss Saffie who took Best Baby Puppy in Show, at her first ever show last weekend!
