We just received our first handmade T-shirt yarn rope toys for dogs!!

A few reasons why these are safer than the normal nylon, synthetic rope toys:

Tummy-Friendly:
If a dog accidentally swallows tiny fibers of t-shirt yarn, the 100% cotton material is much easier on the digestive tract than nylon or polyester ropes, which can get tangled or require surgery.

Gentler on Teeth:
The soft, stretchy fabric acts like a cushion when dogs chew on it, protecting their gums and teeth compared to rigid ropes.

Natural Flossing:
The woven or braided cotton fibers help gently scrub teeth and clean the gumline as the dog chews.

Machine Washable: Because they are made of cotton, they are easy to clean and sanitize (you can simply toss them in the wash).

*Please take note no toys are indestructable. These are just considered safer than the rest.

🐾❗️VACCINATION OPPORTUNITY❗️🐾

Please take note of the following important information regarding the upcoming vaccination day:

The Nelspruit SPCA will be administering free Rabies vaccinations for cats and dogs at our kennels at 6 Meidlinger Street, Nelspruit on 20 June 2026.

Please ensure that all pets are brought to the venue in person, as no vaccines will be provided to take home.

For everyone’s safety:

All dogs must be on leashes.
All cats must be in secure carriers.

Please bring your pet’s Veterinary booklet/card with you. If you do not have one, the SPCA will provide a paper vaccination booklet.

Kindly note that puppies and kittens must be older than 12 weeks to receive the rabies vaccination.

In addition, 3-in-1 vaccinations will also be available on the day at a cost of R350 per pet.

We look forward to seeing you and your furry friends there.
