When I was in massage school, they taught us the importance of recording sessions and reviewing how they went. 3 years ago I would have gasped looking at my bad body mechanics in this video. Proper body mechanics is so important in protecting your body as a massage therapist. But over the years I’ve learned to accept the fact when your massaging on the floor and you don’t want your client to move, you sometimes have to be in some uncomfortable positions.

BUT, in my opinion this sweet girl deserves to have the best, most relaxing session and if that means I’m going to be a little uncomfortable for part of our session… well so be it.

Yes… every single day. 😂 So much so I get to look at your pets and feel the same way.

When your pet visits me for the first time, they become apart of my family. I fall in love with each and every one because I mean how could I not? My favorite part is when your pet walks through my door, greets me, and lays down on the mat. They KNOW why they are here to see me, and that comfort fills my heart with pure happiness.

Thank you for your love and compassion for your pets. Thank you for sharing them with me. Your not only helping your pet feel better, your sharing your pet’s love with me. I will forever be grateful for all the love I receive when they come in. They truly are apart of the PAWSitive Animal Massage Family, and so are you!

This is Boo. He is seriously such a sweetheart. He looks at me every visit with these sad eyes saying, “you come here, work on my brother and sister but I think you’re forgetting me…” I cannot walk past him without loving on him and telling him how handsome he is. He gets extra lovens when he brings me his babies… he has figured this out… 🤣

Miss Maggie is such a sweet lady.

Her hips and stifles hurt her a lot so she shifts her weight to her front end. Because of this, her neck and both thoracic sling muscles are moderate to severely tight. Her biceps and triceps are hard as a rock.

Massage has shown improvement in her tight muscles and fascial restrictions. Comparing her first session to her third, I can confirm muscles that were severely hypertonic are moderately hypertonic and responding quicker to touch.

What is a thoracic sling???

A dog's thoracic sling is a network of muscles, tendons, and connective tissue that attaches the front legs to the main body trunk. Because dogs do not have a collarbone (clavicle), this muscular hammock is what suspends and supports the front half of their body weight.

The Spa will be closed beginning today, through Tuesday of next week while we move our beautiful daughter to Boise. This girl has big dreams to make the world a better place through helping children cope with pain. She will be at Boise State University for 4 years and then transferring for another 2-4 years to receive her doctrine in Pediatric Psychology. Her dream is to return to Shriner Children’s Hospital to give children the same care they gave to her. We are so incredibly proud of her! Here’s to Sami! 🥂 👩‍⚕️

Walter came back to the spa and upon palpation, his muscles responded so well with his massage last week. His neck was slightly tight, but felt healthy after only a couple minutes of using petrissage and effleurage. His gluts were also only mildly tight and his limp was barely there! Because of the progress, we had a short session being only 15/20 minutes. This session is meant for a follow up to address in between longer sessions and is my most affordable session being only $30. This consists of hands on massage and low level laser therapy for wellness of the soft tissue.

We reassessed his massage plan and will meet again in 2 weeks. So happy to see how much better he’s moving around.
