A Message from Paradise Acres Ranch & the Changing Lives Through Horses Foundation

We would like to address some comments and concerns that have recently appeared on social media regarding our participation in the parade alongside our elected representatives.

Paradise Acres Ranch and the Changing Lives Through Horses Foundation are, and always will be, focused on serving our community. Our organization welcomes individuals of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and perspectives. Our mission is centered on connection, wellness, personal growth, inclusion, and strengthening community relationships through the power of horses.

Our participation in the parade was intended to celebrate our community and support the event itself. As part of that participation, we joined our elected representatives, who were present in their role as Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly representing our area. Their attendance reflected their responsibilities as elected officials serving our constituency.

Our involvement should not be interpreted as an endorsement of any specific political position, movement, or agenda. In particular, it should not be viewed as support for Alberta separation or any related political initiative. That is simply not why we were there.

We are incredibly proud of the youth, families, volunteers, wranglers, and community members who represented our organization with kindness, professionalism, and community spirit throughout the event.

Our focus remains unchanged: serving people, building connections, creating opportunities, and making a positive impact in the lives of those we support.

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand beside us, volunteer with us, and believe in the work we do together.

🌸🐴 SPRING AT THE BARN HAS BEEN ONE FOR THE BOOKS! 🐴🌸

What an incredible season it’s been so far — and we’ve loved every single minute of it with YOU! 💖✨

From sunshine-filled riding lessons to laughter echoing through the arena, spring has brought nonstop energy, growth, and so many amazing memories. 🌞🐎

🌿 Lessons are in full swing and riders are leveling up every week
🤠 New skills, new confidence, and BIG breakthroughs in the saddle
🎉 Fun activities, barn days, and moments we wish we could bottle up forever
🐴 Happy horses, happy riders, and a whole lot of smiles all around

It’s been amazing watching riders of all ages push themselves, connect with their horses, and fall even more in love with the journey. 💕

🐴💬 HORSE TALK: HOW DO THEY REALLY COMMUNICATE? 💬🐴

Think horses are quiet? Think again… they’ve got a FULL communication system going on right under our noses 😮✨

Horses don’t just “neigh at each other” — they’re constantly talking through body language, sounds, and even tiny facial cues. It’s basically a never-ending barn group chat 😂🐎

👂 Ears = mood indicators (forward, relaxed, pinned… they’re always saying something!)
🐎 Tail flicks = “I’m annoyed” or “something touched me… again”
💨 Snorts & blows = alerts, excitement, or dramatic commentary
👀 Eye & head position = curiosity, confidence, or “I do NOT trust that bucket”
🤝 Touching & grooming = friendship + bonding

And here’s the coolest part… horses can pick up on the smallest shift in another horse’s energy. They notice everything 👀💖

So while we hear silence… they’re basically running a very active, very expressive social network 24/7 🤠🔥
