Attention dog owners 🐩 Know the rules before you walk your pup!

Vietnam has real fines in place for dog owners who don't follow public safety rules and here's what you need to know:

Core Violations are 1–2 million VND:
🐾 Taking an unmuzzled dog into public places
🐾 Walking your dog off-leash in public
🐾 Leaving your pet unaccompanied or uncontrolled

Other Fines to Watch For:
💉 Skipping mandatory rabies vaccination → 1–2 million VND
💉 Failing to isolate or treat a sick animal → 1–1.5 million VND
💉 Disposing of diseased livestock or trading infected breeds → 5–6 million VND
💉 Using unlicensed/expired vet medication or improper human medication on animals → 6–8 million VND

Be a responsible pet owner and always vaccinate, leash and muzzle your dog in public spaces! Following these rules will protect your pet, your community and your wallet.

Lev recently visited us for a dental scale and polish and his pearly whites are sparkling 🦷

Oral health is one aspect of pet care that can easily be overlooked, especially as the signs of dental disease often develop gradually. However, tartar can lead to painful gum inflammation, tooth damage, infections and even tooth loss if left untreated.

Cats are particularly good at hiding discomfort, which means dental disease can progress significantly before owners realise there's a problem. Persistent bad breath is often one of the earliest signs that your cat may need a dental check-up. If bad breath is accompanied by a reduced appetite, vomiting, increased drinking, or increased urination, we recommend booking an examination as soon as possible.

Regular dental checks can help identify problems early, keeping your cat comfortable and preventing them from suffering in silence. If you're unsure whether your cat may need a dental cleaning, our team would be happy to assess their oral health.

Not all vet visits are stressful. Many cats feel anxious when visiting the vet, but this 7 year old lady, Krosha, was totally relaxed and calm during her cardiac ultrasound examination.

With gentle handling, a quiet environment, and plenty of patience, many diagnostic procedures can be performed with little to no stress for our feline patients. In fact, most ultrasounds are completely painless and often don't require sedation.

We're always proud to create a positive experience for our patients and help them feel as comfortable as possible while receiving the care they need.

Many dogs absolutely love having their ears rubbed! Their ears are packed with sensitive nerve endings, and gentle ear massages can help stimulate the release of feel-good chemicals such as endorphins and oxytocin.

That's why your pup might close their eyes, lean into your hand, or completely melt with happiness when you give them a good ear scratch. A few minutes of gentle ear rubs can be a wonderful way to help your dog feel calm, relaxed, and connected to you.

Of course, every dog is different, so always be gentle and make sure your pet is comfortable with ear handling.

🐾 Four Beautiful Cats Looking for Their Forever Homes 🐾

Today, we would like to ask for your help.

Four lovely cats were left in front of our clinic. According to the person who left them, the alternative would have been a much darker fate, they would have been sent into the meat trade. We simply could not turn our backs on them.

These four gentle souls are understandably a little shy and timid, but they are sweet cats who deserve a chance at a safe and loving life.

To give them the best possible start, our clinic has already:
✅ Vaccinated them
✅ Dewormed them
✅ Sterilized them

Now all they need is a family to call their own.

Just two days before his PAWrents’ wedding, Kolisis gave everyone quite the scare after eating almost 2 metres of string from a toy. X-rays revealed the string tangled throughout his gastrointestinal tract, requiring urgent intervention. Our team was able to remove part of the string via endoscopy, but the remaining portion had to be carefully removed surgically to keep Kolisis safe.

Thankfully, surgery was a success, and Kolisis made a full recovery. He’s now back home where he belongs, loving life.

A huge congratulations to his newlywed PAWrents, and thank you for trusting us to care for your sweet boy during such an important week.

If you suspect your pet has eaten a foreign body, bring them to the clinic as soon as possible.
