Carrie Bunting is a child abuse prevention hero! Carrie works at Zanesville Community High School as the Director of Student Services. Her job includes a variety of tasks that ensure no two days are ever the same. She is also the lucky owner of the school therapy dog, Koda. When he’s not looking for a snack, he is busy making everyone’s day just a little bit better. It is extremely important to Carrie that Zanesville Community School creates an environment where every student feels safe, valued, and encouraged to succeed. What Carrie loves most about her work is the opportunity to connect with students and be someone they can count on, especially on the days they need it the most. Carrie truly believes in the power of relationships and the impact they can have on a child’s life. Carrie feels extremely fortunate to work with a group of people who bring out the best in everyone, including the best in Carrie!
Carrie has been happily married to her husband, Scott, for 19 years, and together they have raised 5 amazing kids. She is a proud Mimi to the most perfect tribe of seven “littles”. Carrie has learned to appreciate the small things in life; she loves small-town living, spending time with her family, and the best moments are just hanging out and doing nothing at all.
Carrie believes that everyone can make a difference in the life of a child. "Sometimes, a simple act of kindness, encouragement, or showing up can mean everything to a child. Those small moments can have a lasting impact. A very special person once said: To live in the hearts of the people we leave behind is to live forever." Thank you Carrie for all that you do for the young people in our community!
