🚨 CALL FOR FOSTERS 🐾

Our rescue currently has 6 dogs in boarding facilities - costing us approximately $2000 a month and depleting our resources. We have done the best we can, however, we are making another push to see if anyone would be willing to open their hearts and homes to an underdog. Though we are so appreciative of the boarders and the care they provide our dogs, finding them foster placements (or even better - forever homes) would greatly ease our financial burden, allow us to optimize our resources, and rescue more animals.

🐾 COURTESY POST: Little Family Needs a Safe Place 🐾

We are helping a kind person who has been looking out for a little family of outdoor cats that desperately needs somewhere safer to go.

There is a mama cat with four young kittens, estimated to be around 1–2 months old and still nursing, as well as a very sweet orange male cat who has been staying nearby.

Sadly, one of the kittens in this area has already been hit by a car, and there are also dogs nearby, so their caretaker is understandably worried about the others. She cannot bring them inside because she has pets of her own, but she is doing everything she can to keep them fed and safe in the meantime.

We would love to help connect this little family with safe, responsible homes or foster options. Mama and her nursing kittens need to remain together for now. 💛

🚨 WE NEED SOME HELP, TUR FAMILY 🐾

Foster homes have been incredibly hard to find, and our boarding costs have reached a point where we cannot keep stretching our resources.

We already had several dogs in boarding when two former Underdogs unexpectedly found themselves back at the shelter through no fault of their own. When one of our dogs needs us again, we are there. So, of course, they came back to us.

We now have six dogs in boarding, costing us more than $2,000 every month just to keep them safe while they wait for somewhere to go.

We need help in several ways:

🏡 FOSTER
This is what we need most. Every dog who moves into a foster home immediately reduces our boarding expenses and gives that dog the comfort of a home while waiting for adoption.

❤️ SPONSOR AN UNDERDOG
Maybe you cannot foster, but you can help cover the cost of boarding for one of our dogs. You can sponsor a dog for a week, a month, or contribute whatever amount works for you. Full or partial sponsorships are incredibly helpful.

🐾 DONATE
Every $10, $20, or $50 adds up. Boarding does not stop at the end of a fundraiser. The bill continues every single day until these dogs have somewhere else to go.

📣 SHARE
You never know who on your friends list might be able to foster, sponsor, adopt, or help.

For now, The Underdogs Rescue is on intake hold. Until we can get some of these dogs out of boarding, bring these expenses down, and see a little light again, we simply cannot responsibly take on more animals.

We hate having to say no when an animal needs us. But right now, we need to make sure we can continue taking care of the ones who are already depending on us.

🐾💙 OUR PARVO PUPPIES ARE READY FOR FOSTER HOMES! 💙🐾

We have some WONDERFUL news to share about our four little Parvo survivors! 🎉

All FOUR puppies have now been retested for Parvo, and every one of them is NEGATIVE! 🙌🐶 They are feeling great, eating well, having normal poos, and acting like happy puppies again!

These sweet babies are:
🐾 4-month-old Schnauzer/Wire Terrier mixes
🐾 Around 20 pounds each
🐾 2 girls & 2 boys
🐾 Parvo negative after retesting ✅
🐾 First round of vaccines completed 💉
🐾 Ready for foster or foster-to-adopt homes! 🏡

They will be receiving their next round of vaccines soon, and Underdogs Rescue will have each puppy spayed or neutered before the adoption is finalized.

But they don’t have to wait to start their next chapter! ❤️ They can move into new foster homes now, or if you’ve already fallen in love, you can pre-adopt through our foster-to-adopt program while we finish up their remaining vetting.

These four fought through Parvo and WON. 💪🐾 Now it’s time to get them out of temporary care and into loving homes where they can learn, play, cuddle, and just enjoy being puppies.

Looking for a foster in order to help this pup.

Meet “Lost Puppy!” 🐾
(We haven’t come up with a name that has stuck yet!)
Location, Yukon

She’s about 1 year old and around 20 lbs. She is just the sweetest little girl! ❤️ She was found very clean and well cared for.

✨ Does great with my kids, ages 9 & 11
✨ Loves giving hugs and is incredibly affectionate
✨ Does great in a large kennel, so she appears to be kennel trained
✨ No accidents in the house so far
✨ Loves fetch and getting her puppy zoomies out in the yard
✨ Rides great in the car
✨ Walks well on a leash
✨ Total lap dog who just wants to be near her people

She still has that fun young-dog energy and would do best with a playful, compatible dog that can match her energy, or in a home where she can be the center of attention.

Rescue support is available with the right foster for her veterinary care, including her spay, vaccinations, and microchip.

I’m looking for a safe, loving foster home that can help walk her through the next steps of her journey toward finding her forever family. 🐾

🐾 WHAT A GREAT ADOPTION DAY! 🐾

We had an amazing day today at PetSmart at NW 63rd & May in Oklahoma City! ❤️

We ended the day with TWO adoptions and ONE very exciting pending adoption! 🎉

🐱 Both of our cats found new homes today! They headed off to begin their trial weeks with their new families, and we are so excited for them. There’s nothing better than watching our rescue animals leave an adoption event with a family of their own. 🏡❤️

🐾 And then there’s TITUS! 🐾

Many of you have followed Titus’s incredible journey. After being rescued, he became critically ill with severe pneumonia and spent a week hospitalized in the ICU at Neel Veterinary Hospital. There were some very scary days—but Titus fought hard.

Today, he is healthy, happy and thriving…and he may have just found his forever family! 🥹❤️

Titus has a pending adoption and will begin his trial week when his potential new family returns from vacation next week!

From fighting for his life in the hospital to potentially finding his forever home—this is what rescue is all about.

We are incredibly happy tonight and so thankful to our fosters, volunteers, adopters, donors and everyone who continues to support The Underdogs Rescue. Because of you, animals like Titus get the second chances they deserve.

🚨 COURTESY POST — FOSTER NEEDED FOR MOM + 5 KITTENS 🚨

This little family had been living underneath a neighbor’s shed in NW OKC until a kind person was finally able to get mom and all five babies safely inside.

They are currently tucked away in a bathroom, but their finder cannot foster them long-term, so we’re helping search for a foster home.

Mom is understandably a little cautious at first. She may hiss when someone enters the room and isn’t a fan of sudden movements or loud noises, but she settles quickly, accepts pets and head scratches, and is comfortable with her kittens being handled.

The babies are active, adorable, and apparently already refusing to cooperate with their first official photo shoot. 😂 They and mom have also been treated for fleas.

They need a safe indoor foster home where this little family can stay together while the kittens grow and everyone gets ready for adoption.

🐾 WE’VE BEEN BUSY BEHIND THE SCENES! 🐾

Things may have seemed a little quiet lately, but Underdogs Rescue has been hard at work caring for the animals already in our rescue. ❤️

Over the past several weeks, we’ve been coordinating spays and neuters, making trips to urgent care for dogs battling upper respiratory infections, helping a litter of parvo puppies recover, and getting several of our animals—including a kitten and a couple of Dobermans—the medical care they need.

These pictures are just a few of the dogs who have recently received medical care through Underdogs Rescue. 🩺🐶 They’re healing, getting stronger, and moving closer to being ready for foster homes and, ultimately, their forever families.

Every vet visit, medication, vaccine, spay/neuter and medical treatment is part of what rescue looks like behind the scenes. Your donations and support make it possible for us to say YES when an animal needs help. ❤️
