🐾❤️ WELCOME TO THE UNDERDOGS RESCUE, CHESTER! ❤️🐾

🚨 Another life saved from the euthanasia list! 🚨

Meet Chester, a handsome approximately 2-year-old male Doberman whose life has been turned upside down more than once. 💔

Chester found himself on the euthanasia list TODAY at the Oklahoma City Animal Shelter. Thankfully, because a wonderful foster family stepped up, we were able to say YES and save his life! 🙏❤️

Chester’s story is heartbreaking. He was originally adopted from the shelter back in July, only to find himself back there again in October. We understand that his original adopter had rehomed him to someone in the community, but that individual was reportedly taken into ICE custody, leaving Chester without a home once again.

Through no fault of his own, this sweet boy ended up right back where he started, facing an uncertain future. 💔

But today, Chester’s luck changed! 🐾

Thanks to his amazing fosters, Chester is now safe, resting, and decompressing in a loving home. We also have some concerns about one of his front legs, which we plan to have evaluated by our veterinarian once he’s had a chance to settle in.

For now, our priority is giving Chester the love, security, and medical attention he deserves.

❤️ This is why fosters are SO important! Without someone willing to open their home, Chester’s story could have ended very differently today.

To Chester’s wonderful foster family, THANK YOU for stepping up when his life depended on it. You are the reason he gets another chance!

🐾 Welcome to the Underdogs family, Chester! You are safe now, sweet boy. Your next chapter starts today, and we promise to do everything we can to make it a happy one. ❤️

Please help us welcome Chester and send him lots of love and positive thoughts as he begins his journey with us!
