Meet Zuko & Biscuit❤️

After spending the last few weeks in quarantine after parvo exposure, these two sweet boys are finally ready for the happy ending they deserve. We are incredibly grateful they stayed healthy, and while their journey has been long, they are now ready for a fresh start filled with love, comfort, and forever families.

🐶Zuko (possibly a Poodle/Cairn Terrier mix)
Zuko is the definition of a gentle soul. This very sweet, calm boy always wants to be close to his people and has the cutest little curls you’ve ever seen. He loves rolling around in the grass, soaking up the sunshine, and would be happiest just being by your side. Bonus: he gets along great with cats!

🐾Biscuit (possibly a Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua mix)
Biscuit is a calm, affectionate little guy who loves chewing on his bones and being close to his people (he especially enjoys being held). He’s learning that the world isn’t such a scary place and is already making great progress with his confidence. While he can be a little unsure around unfamiliar dogs and may bark at first, he’s improving every day and would thrive with a patient adopter who can help him continue to blossom.

These boys have been through so much, and now it’s their turn to find the safe, loving homes they deserve!☺️

🐱 Goose..
Equal parts silly and lovable, Goose is the kind of cat who walks into a room and makes everything better. He’s friendly, curious, and has that wide-eyed expression that will have you smiling every day. If you want a cat with BIG personality, he is your kitty!

🐶 Mildred..
Small but mighty doesn’t even cover it!Millie is bold, brave, and always happy!She’s got a big voice, a bigger heart, and a toy always in her mouth. She was adopted recently and was returned due to no fault of her own..
she’s still that same sweet, silly girl just waiting for the right family to come along!

🐶 Ginger..
Ginger’s love language is everyone and everything! If there’s a lap to curl up in, a hand to lick, or a friend to play with, Ginger has already found it. She’s playful and adventurous but will happily crash on the couch with you when the zoomies are done. The perfect mix of everything you could want in a puppy!

Their siblings have all found their happily ever afters.. now it’s time for Goose, Millie, and Ginger to find theirs. 💌😊

They found their families through us once.. now they need us again. 🐾

We are urgently looking for foster homes for two of our alumni seniors, and we truly cannot do this without you. 💛

🐶 Dingo
This 10-pound chihuahua was adopted from us years ago and has been his mom’s loyal couch companion ever since. When she recently moved to assisted living, Dingo lost the only home he’s ever known. He’s approximately 7 years old, incredibly laid back, and loves nothing more than cuddling next to his person and sleeping on the bed. He’s current on vaccines, flea, and heartworm prevention and will come with his crate, pillow, and toys. He is the easiest little guy.. he just needs someone to love him!💗

🐶 Susie Two
This sweet lab/pittie mix is almost 9 years old and has known nothing but love her whole life. She lost her mom a couple of years ago, and just recently lost her dad too. She is full of life and just wants a stable, loving home for her golden years. 🌻

After her dad passed, she recently escaped and found her way back to their house.. and was found waiting in the grass for them.💔She loved deeply and is looking for a soft place to land until she finds her next person!

These two don’t have a lot of options, and time matters. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is the moment. You don’t have to adopt — you just have to open your door. Even a temporary home gives them stability, safety, and love while we find them their perfect match. 🐾

A Message to Our Supporters

We are aware of recent social media posts raising questions about Pets & People Humane Society, and we want to provide accurate information directly to our supporters and community.

Because some online discussions are hosted in privately moderated forums where our organization may not be able to participate directly, we believe the best approach is to communicate openly through our official channels.

Pets & People Humane Society remains active and committed to our mission of helping homeless animals.
While our organization transitioned from operating a traditional shelter facility to a foster-based rescue model, our work has continued through foster care, adoptions, community support, fundraising, and animal welfare efforts.

Regarding finances:
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our financial filings are public. Reported revenue includes multiple sources of support, including donations, thrift store operations, grants, adoption/program income, and other mission-related funding. Public financial totals should not be interpreted as unrestricted cash available for a single project.

Regarding facility planning:
Developing a new facility is a significant undertaking that involves infrastructure review, permitting considerations, cost evaluation, and long-term sustainability planning. As with many capital projects, timelines can shift as new information is evaluated and responsible decisions are made.

Our goal has always been to ensure that any future facility supports the long-term health of the organization and the animals we serve.

We understand that people care deeply about Pets & People, and we appreciate questions asked in good faith. Transparency matters to us, and we welcome respectful inquiries through our official communication channels.
