At just 10 weeks old, sweet Zoey has officially graduated our 2-Week Puppy Start Right Board & Train! 🐶💛

At this age, our biggest focus was socialization—new sights, sounds, surfaces, environments, and meeting new friends like dogs, cats, and chickens 🐶🐱🐔

Puppies are learning about the world from the moment they come home from the breeder, so giving them positive experiences early on is an important part of building a confident, adaptable dog.

We also worked on creating a consistent routine and structure to help with potty training, settling, and learning how to navigate her day. Young puppies thrive when they have clear expectations and predictable routines ✍️

And of course, Zoey started building her obedience foundation with down, place, and learning to recognize her name. 🥰

This little girl is off to an amazing start! 💕🐾

Stormy is officially a graduate of our 2-Week Puppy Start Right Board & Train Program! 🐾

This five-month-old mixed breed came to us with little impulse control, limited obedience skills, and a LOT of puppy energy⚡️ With structure, clear expectations, and intentional brain breaks throughout the day, Stormy learned how to slow down, settle his mind, and make better choices.

One of our biggest goals was teaching Stormy appropriate social skills. He loved picking on his older brother, who was incredibly patient but wouldn’t correct him when play got too rough—eventually leaving his brother hiding in the closet just to get a break 😅

While with us, Stormy learned to play appropriately with other dogs who were willing to communicate when he was being a little too rough or too excited. 🐶

He also built impulse control through skills like door manners and “leave it,” and enjoyed several field trips where he experienced new sights, sounds, surfaces, and even some spooky Halloween decorations at Lowe’s! 🎃

Stormy is a mix of working breeds, so we know he’ll thrive with continued training, new challenges, and plenty of things to learn as he grows. Most importantly, he now has a great obedience foundation to build on!
Congratulations, Stormy! We can’t wait to see what this fun little guy accomplishes! ❤️🐾

🎓🐾 Murphy graduated! 🐾🎓

This sweet girl wrapped up her 2-week Puppy Start Board + Train, and we are SO proud of her! 💕

During her stay, Murphy worked hard on building those important puppy foundations, including:
✨ Learning boundaries and impulse control
🛏️ Crate training
🧸 “Drop it” & “Leave it”
⬇️ Down/Stay
📍 Place
🐶 Polite manners around other dogs
🦮 Building the foundation for loose-leash walking

The goal of our Puppy Start isn’t perfection—it’s giving puppies the structure, communication, and skills they need to grow into confident, well-mannered adult dogs. Murphy is off to an amazing start! 🥰

And can we talk about her mom?! 🥹 She is the absolute sweetest and showed up to graduation rocking her CCT shirt and had given out our information to a fellow Pawtopia | Pet Store |📍Oklahoma shopper she met that morning! We love seeing our CCT families represent! ❤️

🎓🐾 CONGRATULATIONS, BONNIE! 🐾🎓

Everyone give a HUGE round of applause to Bonnie the Bouvier on graduating from her 2-Week Obedience Unleashed Board + Train! 🎉👏

Bonnie first joined us as a puppy for her Puppy Start back in December, and it has been SO much fun watching this girl grow into the beautiful, confident, well-mannered dog she is today. ❤️

From puppyhood to now, Bonnie has worked hard on her obedience, focus, and especially her leash manners—and her family is already looking forward to putting those skills to use! 🥰 They can’t wait to enjoy evening walks together as a family without being dragged down the street. 😂🐕

And when she’s not practicing her manners, Bonnie has a pretty amazing hobby: SWIMMING! 🌊🐾 Talk about the best of both worlds—a well-trained girl who knows how to have FUN!

Congratulations are in order for our pal, Bruno! 🎓

Two weeks ago, this handsome Bernedoodle came into our 2-Week Manners at Home Board & Train Program as a very excitable guy who had a hard time holding onto his obedience skills. Bruno also had a pretty confident front, but when faced with something new or challenging, he would often freeze and struggle to work through it.

We introduced more structure into his days, dedicated mental enrichment and exercise times, and—just as importantly—intentional time to relax. With a new routine and a calmer mind, Bruno was able to focus, process information, and make some awesome progress with his obedience skills!

One of his family’s biggest goals was teaching Bruno to settle on place since Dad takes him to the office where he works alongside the family. Bruno did wonderfully learning how to hang out calmly and appropriately while life happens around him. 🏢🐶

His family also has land, so building a reliable recall was another huge priority—and Bruno put in some great work there, too! 🌳

Bruno graduated with better listening ears, more confidence when faced with new challenges, and perhaps most importantly, the ability to slow down his mind and make better choices. 🧘‍♂️

Congratulations to Troub on graduating our 2-Week Manners at Home Board & Train Program!

Troub’s story is one of resilience, love, and healing. After being rescued as a puppy, he found his forever family and an incredible bond with his dad. Earlier this year, his family experienced the heartbreaking loss of Troub’s dad, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper, in a tragic accident. Like the people who loved him most, Troub grieved deeply. He spent much of his time in his dad’s office, waiting for the person who had always been his world.

When Troub came to us, our goal was about so much more than obedience. We wanted to help him rediscover joy, build confidence, make new human and canine friends, and help strengthen the bond between Troub and his mom so she could confidently step into the role of his primary handler.
From day one, Troub reminded us just how much he loves to work. Training quickly became more than learning commands—it became a way for him to engage, gain confidence, and embrace new experiences. Watching him light up while learning, exploring, and succeeding has been incredibly rewarding.

Today, Troub leaves with stronger manners, newfound confidence, and an even stronger partnership with his mom. While nothing could ever replace the person he loved so deeply, we hope this chapter has helped both Troub and his family continue moving forward together.
Thank you for trusting us with such a special boy. We’ll be cheering for you every step of the way, Troub. 💙

Congratulations to Bay on graduating our 2-Week Puppy Start Right Board & Train Program! 💙

Bay came into our program as a confident, happy puppy who was eager to learn, making him an absolute joy to train! Over the past two weeks, we focused on building a strong foundation with important skills like leave it, while continuing to develop his manners, engagement, and confidence in a variety of environments. We also spent plenty of time introducing him to new places through field trips, giving him valuable socialization experiences to help him grow into a well-rounded companion.

One of Bay’s biggest successes was learning how to appropriately interact and play with dogs of all different sizes. Social skills are just as important as obedience, and Bay made wonderful progress learning when to play, when to settle, and how to be respectful around other dogs. He has such a bright future ahead of him, and I can’t wait to see all the adventures he and his family have together. Congratulations, Bay & family! 🎉🐩

🐾 Hot pavement = hot paws! Here’s how to keep your pup safe this summer ☀️

1.) Hydration is non-negotiable💦 — Bring water on every walk, not just long ones. Dogs can dehydrate faster than you’d expect, especially breeds with heavy coats or flat faces (pugs, bulldogs). Add hydrating snacks like watermelon or cucumber for a fun, cool treat! 🍉

2.) Check the pavement 🥵— Press the back of your hand to the sidewalk for 7 seconds. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for their paws. Walk early morning or evening instead 🌙

3.) Watch for heatstroke signs⚠️ — Heavy panting, drooling, bright red gums, vomiting, or lethargy are red flags. Move them to shade/AC immediately, offer water, and call a vet if symptoms don’t improve fast.

🎓🐾 Congratulations to June on graduating from her 2-Week Board & Train! 🐾🎓

June, a beautiful 1-year-old Rottweiler × Husky mix, came to us struggling with anxiety—especially when it came to being in her crate and being left alone. She was very growly/barky with new people and her lack of confidence prevented her from making new friends. Her family wanted to help her feel more confident, secure, and able to enjoy life without so much stress.💛

Over the course of two weeks, June worked incredibly hard learning how to settle, build confidence, and navigate the world with a calmer mindset. One of our favorite recommendations for her at graduation was adding swimming into her routine to help meet both her physical and mental needs—and she absolutely loved it! 🌊💙

The best part? Hearing from her owner after she went home:
“She had some great neutral interactions with both people and other dogs yesterday. Today we made it ALL DAY in our crate without a fit. 🥺😭 I’m so, so, so proud of her! You truly changed her life. 🩷”

Those are the moments we live for.
June’s journey isn’t about becoming a “perfect” dog—it’s about giving her the tools and confidence to handle life’s challenges. Anxiety doesn’t disappear overnight, but she now has a strong foundation and a family committed to continuing the work. 🙌🏼
