Winnie is learning how to exist calmly around other balanced adult dogs. Her only association right now is crazy, high-energy “dog park” play, making her social skills compromised.

These are very tolerant dogs here, but even when they appropriately communicate to her that it’s “enough,” she doesn’t understand or change her behavior.

Here, I’m not giving her commands or even asking her to stay in a place yet; just keeping her in specific area while we all relax, so she can take in a different vibe from what she’s used to.

This lamp that we named Nala’s lamp, for where my husky used to lie near it in the foyer, has been going 24/7 for over 5 years. Across the country, we’ve moved several times. The bulb won’t burn out.

Got to the new house last night- held our breath- will it still burn? Or has the magic come to an end?
Plugged it….still burning.

Moving is easier when you’ve taught your dogs not to run out the front door without permission. I never told them to stay- they just know not to cross the boundary unless I invite them. Good dogs!
