This lamp that we named Nala’s lamp, for where my husky used to lie near it in the foyer, has been going 24/7 for over 5 years. Across the country, we’ve moved several times. The bulb won’t burn out.

Got to the new house last night- held our breath- will it still burn? Or has the magic come to an end?
Plugged it….still burning.

Moving is easier when you’ve taught your dogs not to run out the front door without permission. I never told them to stay- they just know not to cross the boundary unless I invite them. Good dogs!

This is Bella’s first Retreat here! She is normally very nervous around other dogs. Here, she is able to relax and feel more curious about them than fearful because I ask my dogs to give her space after just a few sniffs, so she can practice social skills without being overwhelmed.

We met Bella this morning for her trial day. Will see her soon for her first Retreat!
