Here’s another dog that needs a home.

This is Ruby. She was running around near Pioneertown for God knows how long she finally found a family that she kind of just hung around so I got her fixed last week.
This dog has been through a lot but now we need to find her a new place. She’s housebroken, she might not do well with children, but AART will pay for basic obedience. I think will be enough to get her a little less feral if more training is needed AART will also take of it.

6 month old female Carolina / Pharaoh Hound

This beautiful girl is already fixed/ chipped / and UTD on shots. Unfortunately, her owner is going through some family turmoil and she needs to find a home for her dog immediately ! She’s dog friendly, kid friendly and still just a puppy. You don’t see this mix very often.

 OK this little dog wandered into my friend’s house when she had her door open. She was gonna take him to the shelter, but decided to look for the owners before she dumped him there. At first, he was pretty snappy, but that’s just because he Living in fight or flight mode for God knows how long. Since then, she’s done a lot of work with him, but she’s convinced if she brings him to the shelter he will not be even adoptable and labeled as fearful because he’s not good with new people.
I’ve met this dog a couple times and I wouldn’t have even know about his snappy history unless she told me, but if anyone would be willing to open their home to this cute little thing AART will pay for basic obedience training, which I think is more than enough to help him with his new people fear. AART will also pay for his neuter.

So this dog was found running down 247. The snake lady tried to bring him to the Yucca Shelter but yet again all the outside kennels were full and locked. Does anyone else see the problem here? Maybe I should ask the city for grant to build emergency intake kennels here cause this is where the dog ended up yet again 

I’m so grateful AART was able to sponsor such a successful clinic. 33 community pets were spayed or neutered.

Done with irresponsible dog owners in this city!

Hey, so fun fact I was able to get the number for the owner. I left him a text and a voicemail turns out when me and Danielle were picking up his dogs. He was at the Joshua Tree music festival so I kept them overnight. So today I did not hear from him again so I had to bring them to the Yucca Shelter.
BUT when I bought them there I was told that they had no room and I could not leave them there and I needed to keep them until Tuesday!!! Yes animal Control told me I could not leave them there and I needed to keep them. They said they could offer me a Crate but I don’t need a crate. I need these two dogs that aren’t mine to be brought to the shelter because I can’t hold them!
So when I got back to my house after breaking up two brand new boxes of crates, hooking up the air conditioning in my travel trailer and pretty much just losing my s**t for about 45 minutes. The owner calls me back, guess where he was today??? He was back at the Joshua Tree music festival. I told him that he had to come pick up his dogs when I got home and guess what I’m about to go to sleep because I have to wake up super early to pick up a pallet of dogs supplies in the morning but that irresponsible As***le literally went to bed because he was too tired after partying for two days straight while his dogs we just lost!!
I will have to find a different Animal Control to bring them to since I can’t keep holding everyone’s dogs while they just lived their best life. Tomorrow I already have to pick up two dogs in our mind to spend the night at my house so I can bring them super early to my Spay And Neuter clinic. Super fu***ng pi**ed.
SO BECAUSE THERE’S NO ROOM AT THE SHELTER, MAYBE I SHOULD ASK THE CITY FOR ANOTHER GRANT TO EXPAND AND BRING SOME KENNELS ON MY PROPERTY SEEING THAT THERE’S NO ROOM AT THE SHELTER WE RELY ON.
