Reject Ranch

Nonprofit farm animal rescue & sanctuary.

Over the weekend we got hit hard by a wind storm. Our large Mulberry tree in Ninja's enclosure, was completely uprooted. We are beyond grateful that nobody was injured, but we had a lot of cleanup to do.
Don't mind Jake giving the finger in the last photo, that was to send to the tree company that wanted to charge us 4k to remove the tree (that we obviously managed to do ourselves).
We have to make a new roof for one of our quarantine coops, and make repairs to Ninja's enclosure. No donation is too small, and we appreciate everyone who checked in to make sure we were okay!

Introducing Reject Ranch's second annual Halloween merch! This year's Halloween themed tee features Squid the lamancha! Our youngest permanent resident here at the sanctuary. Hand drawn by our very own Vice President, Eire!

Squid came to us on her second day of life after her mother failed to birth her twin and unfortunately passed away. For months she was bottle fed and lived in the house. While she grew larger and stronger we fell more and more in love with her unmatched silliness and personality. Anyone who has ever met Squid knows her name is so incredibly her. To commemorate everyone's favorite baby goat, we knew making her some spooky merch was very on brand for her.

Show your love for Squid by picking up your very own Squid Shirt. Make a statement and support the rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary of farmed animals. All proceeds go directly to the animals at Reject Ranch.

Cricket is all grown up now, and he's looking for a home with his favorite 2 ladies. He is a Brahma rooster, and is a gentle giant who steals the hearts of anyone who meets him. They would make the perfect start to a flock, or addition to existing flock! Dm if you are interesting in adopting or have any questions!

These 4 cuties are settling in nicely! Once they are fully vetted and cleared, they will be available for adoption. They would make a perfect small herd for someone wanting pet goats. 🥰

At 3am on Sunday morning, we welcomed 4 very anticipated little goats to Reject Ranch.
Their lives were in danger at their previous home, as a mentally unstable next door neighbor had been setting off mortars and fireworks over the last year, and had set the property on fire multiple times. The owner refused to leave until her animals were safely placed. Thanks to Oralia Solis Agurcia, these cuties were able to make the 9 hour road trip to us from Lakeport!

This rescue operation was a collaborative effort between Snouts of the Southwest and Monica with Jameson Humane

We got a call about a duck that was hanging out on a local highschool campus, and wasn't doing well. When we arrived, he was extremely heat stressed, but didn't appear to be injured. Since he is a wild duck, and not a domestic breed, we transported him to Leslie Triplett who will give him some tlc for a few days until he is strong enough to be released.

Everybody meet Blue!
Blue was surrendered after the matriarch of her flock passed away, and she started bullying the other chickens. Luckily we have 3 seperate coops/runs for this exact reason, and we know she will fit right in with our larger sassier flock.
Huge thank you to Moose’s Flock for bringing her all the way out here to us! We all love her already! 🥰

We picked up this sassy red-listed turtle from Devore animal shelter yesterday, and transported to Leslie Triplett

Batman and Penguin got pedicures today thanks to Michael DeVries ! Hoof maintenance might not be exciting, but it is extremely important for our residents. It's been awhile since we've put up a fundraiser, and we could really use some assistance with today's $450 bill. Any amount big or small, helps us to continue to provide this level of care for the animals here! We appreciate you all so much ❤️
