💙 SKYE IS READY FOR HER NEXT ADVENTURE! 💙

Some dogs are made for the couch.
And then there’s Skye. 🌎🐾

This gorgeous 2 year old Husky is a bundle of energy, personality, and LOVE….and she’s looking for a family who will make her part of the adventure!

Skye came to us as a stray after being found and taken to animal control. We don’t know how she ended up there, but we do know this:

✨ She’s VERY friendly
🐾 She loves to stay busy
🐕 She would enjoy having playful and energetic dog friends
🥾 She’d LOVE a family who enjoys walking, exploring, and adventures
❤️ And she has so much love to give!

Skye isn’t looking for a family who will leave her sitting on the sidelines. She wants to GO places, DO things, and be right by your side while doing them. 🥰

Her ideal family is active, patient, and ready for all the fun that comes with having a Husky. In return? You’ll get a loyal adventure buddy who will make every outing more exciting.

Skye is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped….all she needs now is YOU.

Meet Christopher. 🐈‍⬛

He may not be the cat who runs to the front of the room and demands your attention. He’s a little shy. A little cautious. And he needs someone willing to let him come out of his shell on his own terms.

But somewhere underneath that sleek black coat is a personality just waiting to blossom. 🌱🖤

Christopher is 4 years old and does well with other cats. What he needs most is a quiet, loving home and a patient family who understands that trust isn’t always instant—and that earning the love of a shy cat makes the bond that much more special.

Give Christopher the time.
Give him the patience.
Give him a chance.

And he just might give you his whole heart. 🖤

Christopher is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and FIV/FeLV negative.

Are you passionate about animals and looking for a way to give back? Heal Animal Rescue is looking for dedicated volunteers to help us care for the animals who need us most!

We are currently most in need of volunteer help on our weekday morning dog care shifts.

✨ Volunteer Opportunities Available:

🐶 Dog Volunteers (18+ at our Youngwood Adoption Center)

Walk dogs

Clean kennels

Socialize pups

Provide fresh food & water

Do laundry & wash food bowls

🐱 Cat Volunteers (16+ at our Youngwood Adoption Center)

Clean litter boxes

Socialize cats

Provide fresh food & water

Do laundry & wash food bowls

🐴 Farm Sanctuary Volunteers (18+ at our Latrobe Farm Sanctuary)

Clean stalls

Socialize farm animals

Provide fresh food & water

General cleaning duties

Volunteering is a rewarding way to stay active, meet like-minded animal lovers, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of animals.

Four year old Jamie is the kind of dog who makes being your best friend look easy. 🐾

He’s friendly, loving, great with other dogs, and always ready for an adventure. Give him a leash and a little time outside, and you’ll have one very happy boy! He’d love a family who enjoys walks, exploring, and staying active…but most of all, he wants someone to call his own.

This adorable black and white girl is incredibly friendly, playful, and full of personality. She’ll chase toys, entertain you with her kitten antics, sit on your shoulder, and somehow manage to put a smile on your face every single day. ❤️

Cookie would prefer to be the only cat in her new home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves.

🐶❤️ IT’S NATIONAL DOG DAY! ❤️🐶

If you needed a reason to stop scrolling and look at pictures of dogs today… THIS IS IT. 😉

Today we’re celebrating the dogs who greet us with happy tails, make us laugh with their ridiculous personalities, and remind us what unconditional love looks like. 🥹🐾

But we’re also thinking about the dogs who are still waiting.

Waiting for someone to notice them.
Waiting for someone to choose them.
Waiting for the day they finally get to say, “I’m home.” 🏡❤️

There are SO many amazing dogs at Heal Animal Rescue who are ready to be someone's best friend. Some have been overlooked. Some have been through more than they ever should have. And all of them deserve a chance to be loved.

So this National Dog Day, don't just celebrate dogs. Help one find their person.
