Purr Partners just passed 8500 lifetime adoptions!!

It all started with four kitties:
Menow - 15 years old, four paw declawed, sprayer, terrible with the litter box;
Rudolph - 6 months, had been born in the shelter, was slated to be put down and adored Menow;
Angus - 11 year old Maine C**n with litter box issues and terribly shy and scared. Ended up living in South Africa!
Cookie - black and white, senior, raggedy and missing teeth and fur.

They were the beginning of this 8500. So many kitties along the way! So many lives saved that wouldn't have been otherwise thanks to all the terrific volunteers working with us. Behind every one of those numbers, 1 - 8500, there is a furry face, a meow, green, gold, or blue eyes, a hopeful heart and so much love. We lost some along the way, but they all got everything we could give.

Today was terrific for adoptions with lots of kittens finding forever homes. We hope that tomorrow will bring more adopters out to join us at PetSmart.
More kitties will be attending the adoptathons tomorrow, hoping that their person finds them.

Thinking about adopting a cat or kitten?

A good place to start is by checking Purr Partners adoption policies. They will answer lots of questions that you might have about adopting.

Once you submit your application one of our processors will contact you. She can be your link to find that special kitty that fits you and your family.

Elowyn is asking you to consider adopting her. She promises to be the best kitty ever... loving, sweet, playful, and always entertaining.
Just a little about her šŸˆā€ā¬›

Elowyn is a black tabby with a smoky silver undercoat, so she reads less "black cat" and more polished pewter, with faint stripes running through it. Enormous ears, big gold-green eyes, and a way of tipping her head that gets her out of trouble constantly. 😻

If you've never had a black cat, consider this. šŸˆā€ā¬› They sit in rescue longer than any other color, for no reason except the color itself, and the people who take one home almost always come back saying it was the best cat they ever had. They're famously affectionate. And there's something genuinely special about the one nobody looked at twice finally getting chosen. šŸ–¤

Find more about her on our web site, the Adoptables page.

When you submit your application ask to meet Elowyn.

You've heard the things about orange cats—Curry would like to confirm every one of them. 🧔

Once he decided people were worth trusting, this former shy boy became a total love bug. He’s affectionate, talkative, playful, and devoted to his people. He loves laps, belly rubs, Churus, and especially his feline friends. Curry is happiest with other cats around and would thrive in a home with a kitty companion.

Visit our website for more information and photos of Curry. See link in comments below.

Update, Nightfall's eyes have turned yellow, as do most black cats, as she has grown. It took the 14 weeks for them to completely change. Wasn't she a cutie with those blue eyes? But she is equally as gorgeous now.

Nightfall would like to introduce herself:

I’m a small midnight enchantress wrapped in the softest velvet-black fur. At just three and a half months old, I’m curious, playful, and just a little bit mischievous. I love to pounce, explore, and then curl up for a cozy nap. With my sparkling eyes and darling personality, I’m pretty sure I stepped right out of a storybook. Please take me home!

This is Ollie-- he may be small, but he has a BIG personality!

He’s currently receiving ongoing medical care and following a special diet while our dedicated medical team works hard to get him feeling his very best. In the meantime, he’s busy showing us just how sweet he is—including making the most adorable biscuits right on the floor (see in this video).

Our goal is to get him healthy, happy, and ready for his forever home. His care requires additional food, supplies, and medical support.

Will you help us care for this sweet boy? Consider donating to Purr Partners to help provide the specialized care and supplies he needs on his journey to adoption. Every donation makes a difference! Donation link in comments or bio.

Where are all the Manx fans? Meet Imara!

She’s beautiful, sweet, playful and pretty much perfection in kitten form—unless you want a cat with a tail!

Imara is still too wiggly for long cuddle sessions, but she loves curling up beside you for naps and purrs. She’ll happily jump on your lap for pets before bouncing off to her next adventure!

She loves chasing balls, playing with other cats and hiding behind the shower curtain for a surprise attack. She should do well with friendly cats, gentle dogs and respectful children.

If you are interested in Imara or her sibiling (also a manx), please visit our website to fill out an application and get pre-approved. Link in comments or bio.

What is one of the most important trait to look for in a kitty for your home? Beside age appropriateness, it's PERSONALITY!!
Personality and connection is so important to a match for you and your family.

And speaking of personality....

Meet Banana Bread!

This buff orange bundle of energy is ready to bring some serious fun into your life. Banana Bread (Banana for short) is excellent at keeping himself entertained, although his preference is to be curled in your lap or just being close to his people.

Don’t worry about existing pets — Banana is a social butterfly who gets along great with other four-legged friends and would probably love having a playmate. He’s also very curious with new people and won’t be one to hide away from guests.

If you want a kitten who’ll keep you laughing and never lets a quiet moment stay quiet for long, Banana Bread is your guy!

🐾 **Donations make a difference!** 🐾

Every dollar helps us rescue, feed, and care for kitties in need. Every kitty we rescue receives basic veterinary care, including flea treatment, deworming, vaccinations, and a visit to the ā€œspaā€ for spay/neuter.

But many of our rescues need even more help. šŸ’”

😿 Kittens often arrive with severely infected eyes and need immediate treatment to save their sight.

😿 Some have broken bones or painful injuries that require veterinary care—sometimes the result of neglect or mistreatment.

😿 Others are born with congenital conditions and were sadly seen as disposable.

No kitty should suffer because they were unwanted, injured, or sick. ā¤ļø

**Funds are always critical, and supplies are always needed.** After all, kittens and cats need to eat!

Your donations help give these precious lives the care, comfort, and second chances they deserve. šŸ¾šŸ’•
