We’re excited to introduce you to Kali, the newest member of our Customer Service Representative team!

Kali has been working in veterinary medicine for the past 10 years. After graduating from ECU, she quickly realized she couldn’t stay away from vet med! Over the years, she has found that educating clients is such an important part of making sure every patient receives the best possible care, and she loves being a small part of that process. One of her favorite parts of the job is getting to be a tiny part of each patient’s journey from their very first visit.

When she’s not at Heartwood, you can usually find Kali running, hiking, online shopping, or spending time with her French Bulldog, Angus, who she says runs her life and her schedule. ❤️ Her favorite way to relax is curling up on the couch with Angus to watch a scary movie or read a good book.

She is excited to bring her experience, knowledge, and love for veterinary medicine to Heartwood! Be sure to say hello the next time you’re at Heartwood!

After 9 incredible years at Heartwood, we are saying a very bittersweet goodbye to Jessyca.

Jessyca has been such an important part of the Heartwood family over the years. She has always been knowledgeable, dependable, positive, and someone our clients and team could count on. Her kindness and dedication have made a lasting impact on so many of the pets and families we have cared for.

We are going to miss her so much, but we are also incredibly excited for her as she starts her next adventure at home and starts a family of her own. We couldn't be happier for her and this exciting new chapter!

Jessyca, thank you for 9 amazing years of hard work, laughter, compassion, and countless memories. Your presence at Heartwood will be missed more than you know! We are so lucky to have had you on our team and can't wait to see all the wonderful things ahead for you! ❤️

Lola’s love language is definitely cuddles and kisses! 💕 She spent some quality time with Abby while staying the day with us for treatment.

We are happy to formally introduce Erin, who joined our team in April.
Erin’s love for animals started early, leading her to her first kennel job at just 17. By 20, she was working overnight in a Raleigh ER, where she cared for dogs, cats, exotics, and even wildlife. After a brief adventure in Georgia, Erin found her way back home to North Carolina and joined the Heartwood team!

One of Erin’s favorite parts of veterinary medicine is making sure clients feel heard, understood, and confident that their pets are in good hands. When she’s not at Heartwood, you can usually find Erin painting, making origami, scrapbooking, reading with her cats, walking around the farm, or riding her bike.

At home, Erin is outnumbered by three furry friends: Terracotta, a fluffy orange girl; Mr. Pibb, a chaotic tabby boy; and Spud, a playful mixed-breed pup. While Erin loves all animals, she proudly considers herself a cat person at heart.

And one more very important fact about Erin: she is obsessed with Godzilla. Movies, comics, posters, T-shirts, you name it. If it has Godzilla on it, Erin probably wants it. 🦖

We’re so happy Erin found her way back to NC and to Heartwood!
