👂🐾 **THOSE EARS!!!** 🐾👂

We're pretty sure these two little cuties can hear a treat bag opening from three counties away! 😂❤️

Meet our newest little listening devices! These adorable 3-month-old Australian Shepherd/Heeler mixes (all boys) arrived at New Lease on Life a couple of weeks ago, but we've been keeping them out of the spotlight while they settled in.

You see, behind those ridiculously adorable ears are two very frightened little puppies. 💔

They were transferred to us from another shelter, so we don't know what happened in their short lives to make them so fearful of humans. What we DO know is that they're slowly starting to learn that people aren't so scary after all. ❤️

These babies are going to need **very special, very patient families** who understand that trust isn't built overnight. They may not run into your arms or shower you with kisses on the first day. They need people willing to give them time, space, encouragement, and lots of positive experiences while they learn that the world can be a wonderful place.

And don't let those shy little faces fool you! Australian Shepherds and Heelers are both highly intelligent, energetic working breeds. Once these babies find their confidence, their families should be prepared for LOTS of activity, mental stimulation, training, and adventures! 🐕💨

**We're looking for families who understand BOTH sides of these puppies:** the frightened little babies they are today and the smart, active dogs they're going to become.

They might be scared of the world right now, but with the right people by their sides, we know they can grow into amazing companions. ❤️

🏡 **Could you be the patient, loving family one of these little ones needs?**

And seriously... THOSE EARS!!! 😍🐾

🎉🐾 **SWEET SIXTEEN! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO NEW LEASE ON LIFE!** 🐾🎉

16 YEARS. OVER 13,000 LIVES CHANGED. ❤️

New Lease on Life is celebrating **16 incredible years of saving lives and finding forever homes!** 🐶🐱🐰

Over the past 16 years, we've helped **more than 13,000 dogs, cats, and small animals** find loving families of their very own! That's over 13,000 second chances. Over 13,000 happy endings. And countless wagging tails, happy purrs, and grateful hearts. ❤️

But rescue isn't just about finding homes. It's also about preventing animals from needing rescue in the first place!

So, in honor of our **16th anniversary**, we're celebrating by sponsoring **ANOTHER 16 CAT SPAYS/NEUTERS** at Lemony Snippet Spay & Neuter Clinic in Struthers, Ohio! 🐱✂️

Because one of the best ways to save lives is to prevent unwanted litters before they're born!

We couldn't have made it through these 16 years without our incredible volunteers, fosters, adopters, donors, rescue partners, and supporters. You've helped us through the heartbreaks, celebrated the victories, and made every single one of those 13,000+ happy endings possible.

**And we're not done yet!** 💚

Here's to 16 years of second chances, 16 years of making a difference, and hopefully MANY more years of changing lives, one paw at a time!

To sign up for a sponsored cat spay or neuter, call Lemony Snippet 330-565-0659

🐱 **NEW ROOMMATE. NEW RULES. THE HAMMOCK IS MINE!** 👑

Now that Nutmeg has found her forever home, her former roommate, Mint, has packed her bags and moved in with Allspice!

And apparently, Mint wasted absolutely NO time establishing the new household rules. 🤣

**Rule #1: The hammock belongs to Mint.**

**Rule #2: See Rule #1.**

Poor Allspice didn't even get a vote! 😂

At just 1 year old, Mint has already figured out that the secret to a comfortable life is claiming the best real estate before anyone else gets a chance!

But there's one thing she'd happily trade her precious hammock for... **a forever home with a cozy place to call her own!** ❤️

Nutmeg got her happy ending. Now it's Mint's turn! Come meet this little hammock hog at New Lease on Life and see if she's the missing spice in your life! 🐾

🌪️🐾 **The storm has arrived, and it's bringing a whole lot of CUTENESS!** 🐾🌪️

You've already met their mama, Twister. Now it's time to meet some of her adorable little whirlwinds! ❤️

🌀 **Hurricane** – Tan and white male
🌪️ **Tempest** – Brindle female

These 3-month-old Pitty babies are expected to be around 60 pounds full grown, but right now, they're just little bundles of wiggles, kisses, and puppy mischief! 🥰

Unfortunately, their lives didn't get off to the best start. After their owner was arrested, these babies and their mama were transferred to New Lease on Life in heartbreaking condition. The puppies were severely emaciated, with far too many bones showing on their tiny bodies. 💔

But these little fighters have been working VERY hard on their recovery!

They've turned into a couple of **hungry little PITTY-PILLARS!** 🐛😂

They've been gobbling up their yummy meals, filling out those skinny little bodies, and gaining weight like champions! Every day, they're looking a little less like starving babies and a little more like the happy, healthy, chunky puppies they're supposed to be. ❤️

And now they're ready to trade their rough beginnings for something wonderful... **REAL HOMES!** 🏡

Hurricane and Tempest have already weathered the worst storm of their young lives. Now they just need families who will give them the love, security, training, and endless snacks they deserve!

❤️ **Who wants to turn one of these little storms into a lifetime of sunshine?** ☀️🐾

**Please SHARE and help these little Pitty-pillars find their happily ever after!** 🐶💕

UPDATE: ROLO HAS BEEN ADOPTED. BAMBI, THE SMALLER OF THE GIRLS, HAS ALSO BEEN ADOPTED. BROWN IS STILL AVAILABLE!

🐾💕 **ONE, TWO, THREE LITTLE CUTIES!** 💕🐾

And just like that, our cuteness level has officially gone through the roof! 😍

Meet **Rolo, Bambi, and Brownie!** These three adorable siblings just arrived at New Lease on Life, and they've already made themselves right at home! Apparently nobody told them they're supposed to be shy in a new place. 😂

🐶 **Rolo** – Our handsome, long-haired little gentleman!

🎀 **Bambi** – One of his absolutely adorable sisters!

🍫 **Brownie** – The other sweet little lady in this trio!

At just **3 months old**, these babies are a little bit of everything! They're **Beagle/Shih Tzu/Miniature Pinscher/Poodle mixes!** That's quite the family tree! 🤣 We're expecting them to grow up to be around **20–30 pounds**, making them the perfect size for all kinds of adventures!

They're cute, they're cuddly, and they're ready to trade shelter life for families of their very own! Just remember, these little bundles of joy are still puppies, so they'll need plenty of patience, training, and love as they grow. ❤️

**Three puppies. Three personalities. Three chances to fall head over heels in love!** 🥰

🚨 **LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL FELINE UNIT** 🚨

DUN DUN! 🎶

Our suspect appears to be a victim of a terrible crime! Just look at that dramatic pose! Somebody call CSI! 🚔🔎

Actually, that's just Bear. He's fine. He's just auditioning for a role as a murder victim on a crime drama. 😂

🐾 **Meet Bear, a 1-year-old orange tabby with a VERY unusual medical history!**

Bear was originally found as a stray with what appeared to be a fairly ordinary abscess on his chin. We see abscesses all the time, especially in stray cats, so we weren't particularly concerned.

But when Bear's abscess didn't heal the way it should, the veterinarian did some investigating. 🕵️

**PLOT TWIST!**

It turns out the abscess had also damaged one of Bear's salivary glands! 😳

That's a first for us! We've dealt with all kinds of unusual medical situations over the years, but we've never had to remove a cat's salivary gland before!

Thankfully, cats come equipped with multiple salivary glands, so Bear has plenty to spare! Surgery was successful, he's all healed up, and he won't even miss the one that's gone. ❤️

And despite his rather dramatic appearance in this photo, Bear is a happy, healthy boy who's absolutely full of life!

🧡 **Now, can we talk about all those people who keep asking us for orange tabbies?**

WHERE ARE YOU?!

Because we've got a handsome, one-year-old orange boy right here who is ready to trade his life of medical mysteries and dramatic crime scene reenactments for a real home!

Come meet Bear at New Lease on Life!

**No detectives required. Just an adopter.** 🐈🧡

🐾 **They're growing up... but they're growing up in a shelter.** 💔

Remember when Vroom and Rocket were just little puppies? Well, these two are about to turn **4 months old**, and they're looking more and more like real dogs every day! 🐶❤️

Unfortunately, they've now spent **HALF of their short lives in a shelter.** And while we love watching them grow, we'd much rather see them growing up in homes of their own!

🚗 **Vroom** – Female
🚀 **Rocket** – Male

These two are Belgian Malinois mixes. Their mama was a purebred Belgian Malinois, and their dad was a Pit Bull/Lab mix. They're expected to be around **60 pounds full grown.**

⚠️ **Now, let's talk about that Malinois DNA!**

Belgian Malinois are incredibly intelligent, athletic, high-energy working dogs. They're not the kind of dogs who are satisfied with a quick walk around the block and a nap on the couch!

They need **daily physical exercise, mental stimulation, consistent training, and plenty of structure.** These dogs LOVE having a job to do, whether that's obedience training, agility, scent work, hiking, or other activities that challenge their brains and bodies.

And training isn't optional! Without appropriate outlets for all that energy and intelligence, Malinois can become bored, frustrated, and destructive. While Vroom and Rocket are mixes and may not inherit every Malinois trait, their adopters should be prepared for active, intelligent dogs who will need a serious commitment to training.

But with the right homes? These two have the potential to become absolutely amazing companions! ❤️

Vroom and Rocket have already missed out on two months of growing up with families. **Let's not make them spend another two months watching the world go by from behind kennel doors.**

They're ready for adventures, training classes, playtime, and most importantly, families who will love them for the rest of their lives.

🏡 **Come meet Vroom and Rocket at New Lease on Life Rescue!**

Two puppies. Two homes needed. Two lives waiting to begin. 🐾💕
