Alaska Airlines just posted a cold-weather embargo that blocks dogs traveling in the baggage compartment into and out of JFK and Newark from January 28 through February 3, 2026.

Those dates happen to land right on top of the 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.

Cabin pets are still allowed.. but for exhibitors traveling with show dogs that cannot fly in cabin, this is trip changing news.

Weather safety matters.. But this is also one of the largest and most historic dog shows in the world with exhibitors coming from every corner of the country and the show must go on..

OLIVIA is on her freedom ride!! This sweet girl was picked up as a stray and her owners never came looking for her. She’s spent the last few months in the shelter until one of her friends at the shelter posted her in a Swissy facebook group. She has been saved by Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Rescue Foundation and is heading to Louisville to stay with foster family while undergoing medical checks and temperament tests. Happy life Olivia! We are so happy to be a part of your new story!
