Mya is kicking off her Board & Train with Trainer Logan, and her parents have some big goals we can’t wait to tackle! 🙌🏻🐾

With a new baby human at home - and Mya still a puppy herself - we’ll focus on building confidence, establishing boundaries, and developing a solid foundation in obedience. We are loving this goofy girl already!

This past weekend, our team had the incredible opportunity to attend the OLK9 Trainers Summit and learn from some of the best in the industry - including Michael Ellis, Stephanie Vichinsky, Larry Krohn, Omar Von Muller, Bob & Erika Solimini, Jay Jack, and so many other talented trainers! 🙌🏻💯

We are proud and honored to be a part of OLK9 and so thankful to Nick White for consistently providing our teams with opportunities to continue our education and grow.

We’re coming home inspired and excited to put what we learned to work! 💙🐾🧡

Fun fact for dog lovers! Did you know dogs can have a dominant paw, just like people can be left- or right-handed?

You may also notice your dog licking their paws from time to time as part of normal grooming. But if the licking becomes frequent or excessive, it could be worth checking for irritation, allergies, or discomfort.

Try watching your pup the next time you offer a treat. Which paw do they reach with first?

One of the biggest parts of tracking is learning to trust your dog. Their nose picks up information we can’t, and our job as handlers is to learn how to read their behavior and support them as they work through a track.

Not every walk needs to be about distance, speed, or perfect obedience. Sometimes, slowing down and letting your dog explore is exactly what they need.

A decompression walk, or “snifari,” gives your dog time to sniff, investigate, and engage with the world at their own pace. These calmer outings can provide valuable mental enrichment and help dogs practice settling around everyday sights, sounds, and smells.
Try a quieter route, give your dog a little more freedom to explore safely, and remember: a successful walk isn’t always measured in miles. How much sniffing time does your dog get on walks?
