🐾 Foster Friday: The Calls Keep Coming 🐾
We currently have 56 Goldens in our care, including 8 forever fosters and 9 foster-to-adopt dogs. September has barely begun, and tomorrow we'll welcome #96 for the year. Three more are already waiting for a foster home.
Our foster homes are a valuable part of the SEVA GRREAT village. They are where Goldens find safety, recover, and begin their journey toward forever. And our foster needs are as varied as the dogs who come through our doors.

Ruffles and Rome, estimated to be just 8 months old, came to us from a shelter after being picked up as strays. They arrived extremely underweight, anemic, and positive for tick-borne diseases. Despite their rough condition, they are the sweetest Goldens. Now they are safe in loving foster homes, receiving the medical treatment they need and being fed properly as they begin to regain their strength.
We've shared several stories about puppies joining us recently, but not every foster family is cut out for a dog under a year old — and that's okay.
Winnie, who is 7, and Scout, 8, came to SEVA GRREAT through no fault of their own. And Allie, 12, needed a new home when her owner had to move to a supported care facility and could no longer care for her.
Some foster families are a great fit for young, energetic pups who need basic training, help learning house manners, and plenty of patience as they grow.
Others may be better suited to a mature Golden — a dog who is further along in life, more settled, and perhaps already housebroken.
That's why we need different kinds of foster homes. There is a Golden who needs the kind of home you can provide. 💚 Could that be you?
