Well, the 2025 Ramblewood Holiday party is in the books. We had many goofy games, ornament painting, secret Santa, Panera nuggets and Barn awards. Since it ended up being so nice outside, we took the horses out to graze and play around over some ground poles at the end. The whole party was a fun success. Everyone got awards but an especially big shout out congrats go to Audrey for Most Improved Rider and Ainsley for the all around Ramblewood Award.

It was a cold ride!(wind making it in the low teens)
I’m not sure who was happier getting out and doing something, horses or riders. It definitely felt good and was worth having numb toes and faces!😅

It’s with a heavy heart that we had to say goodbye to Riley‘s best boy Tuck today. Tuck has been such a big part of the Ramblewood crew for a while and has been loved by many people through the years. He was always such a good boy and is now running with his friends without any pain. We will miss you Tuck!!

I’m a little late posting this but better late than never.

A huge congratulations go out to Riley and Tuck! Riley decided to give jumpers a try this year at the Mill shows at Tranquility Manor Farm. Tuck loved every minute of each show. At age 26 it’s getting hard to get him excited about anything but he would light up when he would see what his job was. Riley learned as she went and did a great job navigating some tricky courses for the first time.

With this being Riley and Tucks first adventure with jumpers, we were thrilled to see that when we finished with the last show, she got Top jumper horse and rider for the series out of all the jumper divisions. Quite an accomplishment!!!!

Thanks go out to Tranquility Manor Farm for having such a great atmosphere and fun show to allow riders to experiment and try different things.

Congratulations Riley!

This past week was very busy at Ramblewood. Along with regular lessons, we also went swimming with the horses, had a glow stick night ride, and ended the week with a fun Mill Horse Show in Maryland.
The swimming with the horses was needed because of the heat and it was very refreshing .
The glow stick ride was a success and fun as always, but because of the full moon it didn’t get very dark.
The horse show ended up being a first for everyone. It was Ally‘s first show with her new horse, Kirby, and it seemed like they had done it many times before. Kirby took everything in stride and they are really getting to have a good partnership.
This show was Ainsley‘s chance to get her first, first place ribbon. She worked hard and it showed!
This was Riley‘s first time to get champion in a jumper division. Tuck loves doing jumpers and I think Riley has been bitten by the bug too! They are learning as they go with this new endever and are proving that they make a great team.
This was Sasha‘s first time taking a shot at doing jumpers with Whip. Whip wasn’t sure he wanted to so jumpers but Sasha convinced him that it would be fun. She perserviered and got him around the course in 3 different classes! Next time will be easier as they get to know each other better.
Everyone was very successful. I was very, very proud of each and every one of them. It was a great way to end a great week!

Camp is a scorcher but the kids and ponies have been great. We just keep cooking along!

Kirby and Justin had fun learning that what they see actually isn’t all that scarey. We were so proud of these two young horses. After a little time to settle in and take it all in, they did almost all the obstacles.

We decided for Ally’s reward for winning our March Challenge that we would go to Windurra and do some cross country schooling. This facility is owned by Olympian Boyd Martin and is absolutely beautiful!
This was Ally’s first time taking Kirby off property. He was great and Ally did a wonderful job with him. It was fun and hopefully we will get back there again soon!

Finally a nice day to get out!!🤗
