"Meet this beautiful black and white American Staffordshire Terrier! At 2 years and 49 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of calm, affectionate, and playful. She walks nicely on a leash, enjoys spending time with other dogs, and has a gentle, easygoing personality that makes her a joy to be around.
This sweet girl absolutely loves attention and will happily soak up all the pets and cuddles you can give.
Darby loved the pup cup and was so good on our walk!

Every adoptable pet is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1 year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention, and heartworm prevention for dogs. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. Adoptions are matched based on best placement and require no negative animal history.

Reports related to animal cruelty, neglect, welfare, and dog/livestock at large can be made by calling Animal Services at 803-628-3190 Option 1 from 7:30-5 Monday- Friday. All calls are responded to on a priority based system with urgent calls responded to first. After-hours and holidays are emergency based response, which includes severely injured domestic animals, aggressive stray dogs at large, and livestock in roadway. All other calls are responded to during regular business hours.

Accepted by appointment as kennel space is available. Currently the shelter is at full capacity. Contact the Intake Department at 803-628-3190 to schedule intake.

Community cats are sterilized for population reduction through the TNVR (Trap-Neuter- Vaccinate-Return) Program.
There are 3 options for services:
1. Contact the shelter regarding our TNVR Voucher program. Vouchers can be redeemed at designated low-cost clinics.
2. Visit the Spay Neuter section of our website to see local community programs that assist with TNVR.
3. Stay tuned for our next TNVR shelter event which will be announced via social media.
