Signing off from another unforgettable St. Louis Groomfest!

In true Alex fashion, I took zero pictures 😆 Grateful to Above Par Photography for capturing the joy I feel while cheering on and supporting both new and seasoned grooming competitors. Alex the Groomer is donating one Newfoundland Show Haircut to a lucky winner to support the 2025 NCA National Specialty.

This coupon includes one haircut for show at either the 2025 National Specialty, or at a show Alex will be attending within one year of issuance. The Newfoundland must be bathed, dried, and line combed prior to receiving the haircut on show grounds. The haircut must be scheduled with Alex the Groomer at least three weeks before show start.

Alex the Groomer has been grooming for over 13 years and specializes in Newfoundlands and double coated breeds. She has been studying the Newfoundland breed ever since she adopted her first in 2011, which inspired her desire to learn the art of grooming. In 2022, Alex opened her own salon within her home in eastern PA that offers one on one luxury spa services to Newfoundlands and large double coated breeds. On the weekends, Alex is either at the lake with her Newfoundland, Rigby, or assisting professional handler, Lexie Ditlow.

This weekend at the prestigious Hatboro Dog Club Show, Rigby not only won his first Major towards his Grand Championship, but he also made the Cut in an extremely competitive Working Group 😱😱

Thank you Judge Lloyd Constantine-Amodei for awarding Rigby BOB for a 3pt Major, and Judge Dr. Antonio Molina for the consideration in the Working Group. Thank you Judge Sulie Greendale-Paveza for awarding Rigby BOB on Saturday at Devon Dog Show for another point towards his Grand Championship!

Thank you to Nancy Weaver-Smith for your continual support and for trusting me with your special singleton! Thank you Lexie Ditlow for all of your advice and support and for freaking out with me when he made the cut! I had so much fun at Montgomery with friends I don't get to see that often and of course I learned a bunch!
