Littermates, Quill Feather’s Just Jett and Quill Feather’s Charlie May, haven’t been together since leaving the farm for their new homes. But they were reunited this weekend and they seem to adore each other’s company. This has been a very special litter 🤎

I am very proud to say that the entire Modelo x Bruno 2025 litter will be testing in the NAVHDA Natural Ability test. The test can be a catch 22 between wanting test validation and pushing training out further than you’d like. This litter just a turned a year old and prey drive is kicking in hard core. Quill Feather’s Crouton went from pointing and holding to straight take outs, which is not what we hope to see test day. We are hoping a couple of training reps this weekend will pay off come test day. But, seriously…look at that point 🤩

Some training reps with Quill Feather’s Sea Dog “Maryn.” She’s got everything she needs to be a successful gun dog, including a dedicated owner/handler. Her points are staunch and intense, and display that signature skunk tail, just like her momma.

Quill Feather’s Just Jett and Quill Feather’s Orange Crush enjoyed a little playtime at the farm. These two littermates haven’t seen each other since they were roughly two months old. They played well and matched each other move by move like twins separated at birth. 🤎🤎

What a great day! Seven of the eight pups from the Modelo x Bruno 2025 litter returned to the farm for some NAVHDA Natural Ability test prep. We ran them through what would be an entire NA test and every single pup performed well, as expected. With a couple of training tweaks and some improved handling skills, each pup should complete test day without issues. We are extremely grateful to have such amazing people purchase our pups.
