With the New Year comes many changes. My family has been given an amazing opportunity and after many discussions we have decided to take it. I will be relocating to Phoenix along with my husband and my daughter. I will be closing my very successful and rewarding grooming salon Dogdays Groom And Play. There are many people and pets I will miss, and I must admit this is one the hardest decisions I have ever made. I must also admit that I am very excited and welcome this change. My business has been very successful and rewarding in so many ways, and I have grown and learned many things from the 6 years of owning my own business, and I have met amazing people and made many wonderful friends along the way. Having a business is also very taxing, on myself and also on my family. Covid and the restrictions that have been implemented in CA have made a business increasingly difficult to maintain. This decision was not made lightly, however it is a sudden and immediate change that we have accepted as necessary to be done at this time. I am extremely blessed to have so much love and support in my marriage and from my family, and together my husband and I have been blessed with the opportunity to have more and do more in Phoenix and we are ready to finally make this dream a reality. It is with a heavy heart that I write this, but also with excitement of the future and things to come for myself and my family. I wish all my family and friends heath, hope, and happiness in everything this New Year has to offer!

To all our loyal clients, it breaks my heart to not be able to see all the fur babies and be able to do what we love everyday. It has been a struggle for the past few weeks, emotionally and physically to stay strong. The health and welfare of our clients and their dogs and their families and friends are our top priority and we at DogDays will continue to adhere to the recommendations of the state and government and remain closed until we have been told it is safe to open our doors again. We hope that you all remain well and that this scary time passes us quickly so that we can get back to what we do best and take care of your pets again for you 💕 thank you for your understanding and your continued support when we are able to open again!

Like you all, we at DogDays Groom & Play are watching this virus very closely. As valued clients, your safety and health are a big priority, and we hope you are doing all that you can to stay safe during this scary time.

DogDay’s daily operations are much like ordering take out from your family restaurant. We rarely have a congregation of people in our lobby, and our check in/out process is fairly quick. Keeping this in mind, we have implemented the following procedures to lessen the chances of any of us catching this terrible virus.

1. Only 1 person/family at a time will be allowed in the lobby. Please wait to enter if you see someone in the lobby or standing at the front desk.

2. Please bring your dog in on a leash. We will not take your pet from your arms, and we will keep all collars and leashes at drop off. This will help to avoid direct contact between us and you.

3. Self Wash will be allowed to continue, and we will continue to clean and sanitize thoroughly between each wash. Only those involved with washing the dog will be permitted in the Self Wash area. All others will be asked to wait outside.

4. We can offer curbside drop off and pick up, upon request. You do not have to come inside in order to drop off or pick up. Give us a call to let us know you would like this service, and one staff member will come out to retrieve and return your pet.

Our cleaning products that we use on a daily basis have been verified to kill the COVID-19 virus, and we are stepping up the cleaning of the front desk, door k***s, self wash tubs and anywhere else that is touched by the general public. Hand sanitizer is available at the front desk. We are doing our best to provide a safe environment, and we do not want to have to close our business unless forced.

Lastly, we totally understand if you want to cancel or reschedule an upcoming appointment. Please call to let us know in advance, or if you have any questions or concerns!
