We had a fantastic lunch-and-learn with our dermatologist, Dr. Dayle McClintock, at Bayside Animal Hospital!

From allergy testing to Zenrelia, many topics in dermatology were discussed — including medication protocols, food recommendations, and treatment approaches.

It was an engaging session filled with thoughtful questions, shared expertise, and continued learning. Educational opportunities like these help us provide the most current information and specialty support to our valued referring veterinary community.🐾

• Keep cleaners, disinfectants, and chemicals out of reach
• Avoid strong-scented products that can irritate eyes, nose, or skin
• Watch that small items like sponges, rags, or trash aren’t chewed or swallowed
• Ventilate rooms when using sprays or fumes
• Consider pet-safe alternatives whenever possible

We are excited to welcome Dr. Pallo, DACVIM, a board-certified Small Animal Internal Medicine specialist, to Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers, starting Thursday, April 16th.

Dr. Pallo will be available to see patients on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, every other week, and will work closely with our multidisciplinary specialty team to provide advanced, compassionate care.

Dr. Pallo graduated from Cornell University in 1998 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She completed her internship in small animal medicine and surgery at VCA Berwyn and Aurora Animal Hospitals, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois. She became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 2009.

Before completing her residency, Dr. Pallo practiced both equine and emergency medicine. She has been published in Compendium and has lectured at educational seminars for veterinarians, interns, and veterinary students. While she enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, her special interests include geriatric feline medicine, liver disease, and endocrinology.

At Animal Specialty Center, our Internal Medicine service is supported by advanced diagnostic and imaging modalities, including:
• Ultrasound
• CT
• MRI
• Endoscopy

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Pallo to our team and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional specialty care to our patients.
