Calming Nature Pet Grooming Veteran-owned, small family business, proudly serving Yelm, WA residents and the surrounding area. We are a family that treats our clients like family.

We believe that education, support, and compassion are at the root of providing care for animals, clients, and the surrounding community. We provide appointment only grooming services. Good morning friends! It is 10:45am on Friday 9/25 and we have officially lost power at the shop 😭 I have reached out to folks who had appointments scheduled for today. As soon as we have computers and phones back up I will call to reschedule y’all. Thank you for your patience and we’re praying for the community as we go through these tough winds. We will be back to normal operations tomorrow if power has been restored. Stay tuned! We don’t want to miss walk in nail grinds tomorrow 🤩

We LOVE seeing new puppies at the shop! They really are the best! 🐶💕
One of the best things you can do for your puppy is to start preparing them for grooming before they ever need a full groom. Good grooming habits start at home!
From an early age, pet parents can help by:
🐾 Playing with and gently handling their puppy’s feet and toes
👂 Touching and looking inside their ears
💕 Getting them comfortable with being touched all over their body
🪮 Introducing regular brushing and coat care at home
💅 Bringing them in for nail grinds early and regularly
These little experiences teach puppies that being handled is normal and safe and can make a huge difference when it’s time for professional grooming.
We’re also happy to help! We can show you how to properly maintain your puppy’s coat at home, talk about what grooming their breed or coat type will need, and help you establish a regular grooming schedule.
Our goal is to make grooming as low-stress, positive, and enjoyable as possible for your puppy. Starting early helps us build trust, confidence, and a relationship with your pup that can last their whole life. 🐾❤️

Over the past few weeks, we’ve received several notifications that some of the dogs we’ve had the privilege of caring for have passed away. 💔🐾
We want our families to know that we love your dogs, too. Over the years, they become more than clients to us. We learn their personalities, their quirks, and their favorite things. We build relationships with them, and we feel their absence when they cross the Rainbow Bridge.
To each family experiencing the loss of a pet, we’re so very sorry. We hope you know that your dog was loved here, too, and that we’re grateful you trusted us to be a small part of their life.

We also have a memorial wall at the shop honoring the pets who are no longer with us. If you have lost a pet, recently or years ago, you’re always welcome to add their photo to our wall. It’s our way of remembering the animals who have touched our lives and the families who loved them. 🐾❤️

We often get asked what a good grooming schedule looks like! 😊

We recommend every 6-8 weeks for maintenance. Typically in the summer, we move to a 6 week schedule to keep up with the dryness and heat ☀️ and then do approximately every 8 weeks in the winter since we’re all inside more ❄️

Couple of cool things:
🐾We can accommodate any schedule that works for you and your pets’ coat type.
🐾We can always book your next appointment when you check out.
🐾We also have the option of booking out for a year to ensure you and your doggo(s) are on the books and have standing appointments.
