Royal River Retrievers Golden Retriever breeder of quality AKC registered puppies in Maine and New England. (Hours by appointment only.) I have 1-2 litters per year.

Outstanding Golden Retrievers that are:
Family loved and house raised...
Selectively bred with careful genetic screening (OFA hips, elbows, heart, eyes; Optigen tested for PRA, thyroid, Ichthyosis)...
For show, hunt, performance, and home. My dogs are vital members of my family and all live with me in my home, not in kennels. I participate in different venues -- including obedience, tracking, rally, hunting, and showing. For me, this is a passion and labor of love for the Golden Retriever breed. I am a proud member of:
Golden Retriever Club of America
Maine Golden Retriever Club
Yankee Golden Retriever Club
Dog Tracking Club of Maine
Penobscot Hunting Retriever Club
Maine Retriever Trial Club

Through my breeding program I strive to promote the health, temperament, work ability, and the beauty of the breed by adhering to the Golden Retriever Breed Standard as defined by the Golden Retriever Club of America. Each breeding involves in-depth research into the parent's pedigree, genetics, health history, longevity, structure, work ability, and temperament. I adhere to breeding practices as recommended by the GRCA.
