Pretty Pigeon is adopted! She goes to her new home (which is local!) tomorrow morning! We are excited she has found a new home and will have her own little donkey friend!

First Storytime is in the books! Thanks to the kiddos that came out this morning and decorated unicorn horns! Next Storytime is the 23rd at 10am! We will read Vampurr!

We still have all of this FREE wood! The weeds are dead now, so it's even easier to get to and load up!

Free wood. Must pick up. We had to take down our two giant oak trees that died. Some of it is cut up into fire size logs. The larger trunks are not.

We had two Scouts out today to earn their horsemanship badge in addition to our Horse Girls in Training this morning! There was a lot to cover and we made it work in the rain. Sweet Maverick felt a little tricked that we still rode "indoors" but thank goodness for our little "arena!"

With 12 cards left on the board, the Brisket Love crowd had a showdown to find the Queen of Hearts. Congrats to Jeff Crews on taking home $6935!

For Q of H lovers, The Turn at Mineola Country Clubhouse is also running a Queen raffle that helps support Riders Up on Tuesday nights!

Today was Runlikecarl's first ride in nearly 3 years! Carl is 5 years old and was retired from the track for a slab fracture and was turned out to heal - unfortunately alone as a young stallion. Before he came to us, he had been recently gelded and was moved in a hurry under sedation, as the owner had just sold his house and it was closing very soon. To Carl, this likely felt like a kidnapping. Selah has done a wonderful job over the summer working through his stallion-like tendencies, ground manners and then finally a reintroduction to being tacked up. Norah gave him an excellent first ride this morning. We kept it quiet and simple - not asking for too much and working on keeping him focused on the task at hand. Carl will be available for adoption soon!

Exciting News! 😍 Now that the temperatures are cooling off and the mornings have been beautiful, we're excited to introduce Storytime at the Stables! Storytime will be held twice a month on Friday mornings at 10am and hosted by Selah.

Storytime will consist of the reading of a book and then followed by either a craft or horsey activity! Storytime will last approximately 1 hour and will take place inside the barn.

$10 per child or $20 per family

This is a drop in event, but reservations are appreciated for craft supplies!

2 years old and up but siblings are welcome. Just keep in mind we are a working horse farm and we have two extremely friendly barn cats that will most definitely want to be involved in this activity!

Our first book is the beautiful Margaret's Unicorn! Our craft will be decorating our very own unicorn headbands and visiting our resident unicorn Mr. Bubbles! 🦄
