Please help a sweet girl find a home. A young adult female German Shepherd (black in color) is needing her furever home. She loves cuddling with humans on the couch and playing with her ball. She can be with dogs similar in size. We are unsure of how she does with cats and small dogs. Her furever home does need to be outside of Yankton city limits. No public photos will be posted. We are excited to announce that Lewis and Clark Veterinary Clinic is opening a part time office in Vermillion! At this time, we are seeing appointments in Vermillion 2 days per week. We are not currently performing surgery in the Vermillion location but expect to add some surgery services in the near future. Please call 605-260-5650 to schedule an appointment! SPECIAL FOSTER/FOREVER HOME NEEDED:
Phin is a 14-month old Husky Mix. He is a handsome, playful and sweet blue eyed boy (neutered).
Phin loves his people but only his people. When we first met Phin, we weren’t his favorite. It took a little over a week for Phin to start to trust us. He does have a history of trying to bite people when they approach his people. Once Phin accepted us into his circle, he is so lovable and happy. He is potty trained, food motivated, and loyal to his core.
Phin does well with other dogs and cats but would be best in a home that does not have many visitors per day and where he can be safely in another room when unknown visitors stop by. Phin is reported to have done well with children but we do not recommend that he be in a home with young children.
Please reach out for more information if you feel you could give Phin the kind of home he needs. Veterinary reference required.

Sometimes providing great patient care means sharing your extra shirt with your surgery patient. Bella was recently spayed and started licking her incision but was was terrified of the e-collar. (Picture of Dr. Schenk with the same shirt on a different day)

HOLIDAY HOURS: We will be OPEN 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on December 24th, 2025. We will be closed on Thursday, December 25th and Friday, December 26th to allow for our staff to travel and enjoy the Christmas Holiday with family.
For New Years, we will be closed Thursday, January 1st only.
