Last week was a busy one at Yakima Humane Society! We took in 85 animals and celebrated 88 success stories. WOW!

Kitten season is officially in full swing, and our team has been hard at work caring for litter after litter of tiny arrivals. You may not see many cats available on our website right now because many of them are still too young for adoption or are recovering from illness, but trust us—they're keeping us very busy behind the scenes!

While you're checking out our adoptable pets, don't forget about some of our long-term residents who are still waiting for their families. Teddy has been with us for quite some time, but he hasn't lost his smile or his hope. We'd love to see him finally find the loving home he deserves.

We are all set up at McCurley Subaru with some adorable dogs and kittens! Stop by, say hello, and learn more about the amazing programs and services offered by Yakima Humane Society.

🐶 Our dogs are available for adoption and can go home with their new families today!

🐱 We also have some adorable kittens available for adoption. Please note that the kittens will not be able to go home directly from the event, but you can meet them and start the adoption process.

Here are SOME new faces that either came in this week or became available. If you are looking to adopt please go to our website to learn more about the one you are interested in, if they are still available they will still be post. If the animal is no longer available they will no longer be posted. If you are missing a pet please file a LOST report on our website site so we can cross reference with all animals in our facility and animals that come into our facility into the future, we keep these on file for 30 days.

All of our currently available animals are on our website. Please check there for information on the pets, if the animal is no longer listed it is no longer available. If you need more information please contact our adoption center as they know our pets best. We recommend you check the website frequently if you are looking to adopt as it gets updated daily as new animals come in or if adoptions fall through.

🐶🐱 We’ll have a variety of sweet animals available for adoption and ready to go home the same day! We may also have kittens at the event that are available for adoption holds and cuddles, although they may not be ready to go home until spayed or neutered.
