Bo and I worked on a lot
Of things today, but I really wanted to take a moment and reflect on the horse he was to where he is now.

He used to avoid me touching his nose like the plague and his ears/poll were a big no touching zone. You can see how much he has softened in our time so far together πŸ₯°

Last night all the puppies got their first round of vaccines! Each puppy has a book with their weight/deworming every two weeks and now their vaccine stickers. All of them have been their happy selves and I haven’t noticed any adverse reactions πŸ₯°. They will be 9 weeks this Saturday.

It’s a rainy day, so the puppies are staying inside all day. After they dried off, they all got a good brushing πŸ˜†

My morning with 11 puppies. Mistakes were made πŸ˜†. @

I let mom supervise while I disinfected their pen aannddd they had WAY too much fun.

Definitely due for some baths and grooming today.

We are still workin on jumping at the gate. They still get lots of rewards for sitting patiently, but tapping and jiggling the gate helps too. They aren’t allowed out until they are calm and quiet. Every day they get better and better πŸ₯°

Bo and I have been working on him giving to pressure following the rope and not reacting. The first session the other day was working on him just standing calmly with the rope around him. This is the second session with him learning to move with the pressure and not panic.

I do this to teach a horse how to work through a bind, not panic, and how to follow pressure. Also, to set him up for ground driving. This way, if they do get tangled up or other situations, he learns to think and not panic.

We will continue to work on this over the next few weeks, among other things like a real saddle and ground driving!

The last two days have been puppies and baseball 🐢πŸ₯°. Today was closing ceremonies, so the season is over and I will have more time overall πŸ˜†. Baseball is the best time to bring puppies and have everyone help me with socialization. Tank and Hulk were so good on their solo trips πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί

We made the decision to only have one litter, so Scout lost a bit of his manhood today πŸ˜¬πŸ˜†.
We always planned at least one and from
there we would make a decision. It’s been a fun season, but 11 puppies is a lot to manage πŸ˜†.
So this season comes to a close, and will be the only litter from Scout and Miracle. The puppies are exceptional, as is miracle as a mom. I’m
So glad we had one, but one is enough πŸ˜….
