This week is Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! Macy, Brandy, and Monica are our RVTs who are usually the first ones in the door getting ready for morning surgeries and the last ones out the door after patching up that emergency that comes in 5 minutes before closing.

The definition of a vet tech is, "A veterinary technician is a licensed healthcare professional who works under a veterinarian to provide medical and surgical care to animals." But there is no way to truly sum up all that a veterinary technician is, as they are the smiling face that welcomes your baby to their first appointment with a bowl full of treats and the shoulder we cry on as they help that same baby cross the rainbow bridge, and everything in between. Words cannot describe how thankful we are for each one of these girls.

Macy, Brandy, and Monica are some of the most dedicated and hardworking people we know, and we just want to take this time to give them a big fat thank you for all that hard work.

Things will look a little different when you come by the office for a while. We lost our sign today during an accident. We hope the driver is ok and we're sending thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery. We're thankful that our staff, clients and patients were not injured and for everyone who helped the driver before emergency personnel arrived. Keep an eye out for our new, updated sign.

We have a familiar face popping back up in the clinic for a little while. Mark just finished up his summer semester at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and decided to spend his break between now and the fall semester with us (Yes he just really missed Haydon, Yes he was extremely sad when Haydon had to leave for his fall semester back at Findlay and didn’t get to see him) we’re so glad we could see your lovely face again Mark!!

For our next patient of the week, we have Poppy, or as we knew her, Gouda. She was a barn cat found by our very own RVT Macy, who has a pretty good habit of picking up strays. She spent plenty of time with us this summer as she grew up, until we were able to find her a forever home with one of our amazing clients. She will forever be one of our favorites in our hearts. Congratulations on being this week's patient of the week!
