If you raise cattle, you know how it goes. You watch them grow, get attached, and suddenly start second guessing your plans. Some are meant for somebody else’s herd, and others might just end up staying home.🖤

I absolutely love these girls, even when they’re being goofy.🤪🖤 This is one of the reasons I love these cattle breeds so much. They sure do have some personalities! I love how they still manage to look beautiful while acting like a couple of fools right before all the rain hit. And who’s thankful for all this RAIN?! We got around 2 ½ inches!🌧️

But I can’t complain… we’ve been blessed with some GOOD LOOKIN’ heifers around here lately. Here’s hoping we can keep this heifer streak going through fall calving!🖤🙏🏻

SIX WEEKS OLD and this girl is starting to really show us what she’s made of.👀🖤

Shania has changed SO much in just the last couple of weeks, and I’m loving the direction she’s going. She’s getting thicker, growing like a w**d, and getting more substantial every time I look at her.🔥

What do y’all think of her so far? And don’t worry… we’re just getting started with fall calving.🤠

THREE very heavy bred girls… and I have a feeling they’re fixing to keep us BUSY.👀

These ladies look like they might be going boom, boom, boom when it comes to calving… and I’m already anxious to see what each one gives us.🔥

COOKIE • ½ Gyr ½ Brahman
She’s given me TWO red calves so far, so I’m really hoping she finally throws me the black and white speckled calf I’ve been waiting on.

DOTTIE • ½ Brahman ½ Sardo Negro
This one is a big deal for us because she’ll be giving us our FIRST F1 Sardo Negro × Brahman calf from our ½ Sardo ½ Brahman bull.

STAR • 100% ABBA Registered Brahman
She gave us Two Bit last year, and he was one fancy, speckled bull calf. I can’t wait to see what she gives us this time. Hoping for a loud heifer!

So here we go… THREE cows, THREE calves coming, and hopefully not all at the exact same time.😆

Sooo… SHANIA has been busy GROWING!👀

It’s crazy to see how much she’s changed already. And putting her beside Ella, who’s just three months older, really shows just how fast she’s catching up…🙌🏻

Ella is already spoken for, and I’ve been getting asked what’s the plan with Shania… And right now, I can’t tell you.😆 She’ll probably stay right here with us by the way she’s developing.🤷🏼‍♀️🔥
