Advance Class is a 6 week long class, but will go over the course of 7 weeks. (Any questions about this - please let me know!)

Thunderstorms can be really scary for some dogs. Instead of forcing them to “get over it,” help them feel safe!

Create a safe, comfortable space
Close curtains/blinds to reduce flashes
Turn on the TV, fan, or calming music to help mask the thunder
Offer a long-lasting chew, lick mat, or favorite toy if they’re willing to engage
Stay calm and relaxed
Let them stay close to you if that helps them feel secure

If your dog is severely panicking, trying to escape, or unable to settle, talk with your veterinarian about additional options to help them cope.

Sit. Down. Simple, right?

These basic commands are the foundation for so much of our training. They teach your dog to listen, focus, and learn how to work with you.

And remember—just because they can do it at home doesn’t mean they’ve mastered it! Practice in different places and slowly add distractions.

Sometimes, going back to the basics is exactly what your dog needs. 🐾
