The best care handoff includes details only you know.

You know your dog’s routines and preferences best. Sharing a few helpful details before a visit gives the care team a better understanding of what matters to your dog.

Before your dog’s next visit, write down one detail you want their caregiver to know.

Every dog is different, and that’s why we start with an evaluation day! 🐾

Before welcoming a new dog into our daycare or boarding programs, we take the time to get to know them.

We slowly introduce them to the environment, observe how they interact with our staff and other dogs, and see how comfortable they are throughout the day.

It’s all about making sure Almost Home is a good fit for your dog while keeping everyone happy, comfortable, and safe!

Some dogs love to run. Others love a good challenge for their nose!

Enrichment activities give dogs opportunities to explore, investigate, and use their natural instincts.

Sometimes the best part of the day isn’t just playing with friends. It’s having something interesting to figure out.

Would your dog rather search for treats in a ball pit or explore a puzzle tray?

Daycare or boarding? What’s the difference?

Daycare is perfect for dogs who need care, playtime, and companionship while you’re busy during the day. Boarding is for dogs who need a comfortable place to stay while you’re away overnight.

At Almost Home, both begin with an evaluation day so we can get to know your dog and make sure our environment is a good fit. Not sure where to start? Visit our website to learn more about our services.

Is your dog a toy carrier, outdoor explorer, or treat detective?

Every dog has their own idea of a perfect day, and we love seeing their different personalities at Almost Home.

Which one sounds most like your dog? Tell us in the comments!

What should you ask about dog introductions when choosing a daycare?

Not every dog wants to play right away, and that’s okay. Good introductions involve watching body language, respecting each dog’s comfort level, and allowing dogs to get acquainted without forcing interaction.

At Almost Home, our evaluation day helps us get to know each dog and determine whether our group environment is a good fit.
Because safe, comfortable interactions matter more than simply putting dogs together.

Sometimes all they want is a little extra attention.

A few scratches, a familiar voice, and someone happy to give them a little love.

It’s the small moments that make Almost Home feel like home.

Registered your dog with Almost Home? Here’s what happens next.

Creating an account is the first step, but before your dog joins us for daycare or boarding, we’ll need to schedule an evaluation day. This gives us an opportunity to get to know your dog, introduce them to other dogs, and make sure our environment is a good fit.

Have questions about getting started? Give us a call. We’re happy to walk you through the process.
