Bryn is about 4 months old and is shy with people. We are working to build her confidence with strangers.

One thing I like to teach is a hand touch. I start by having the owners teach a pattern of go out, touch hand, click, return for reward. Then we will practice with people she doesn't know.

It's important to teach this with people she's comfortable with first. We aren't just teaching a behavior, we want a certain attitude along with it. ..

Little baby Bryn is enrolled in private training lessons to build up her confidence around people. It can be so hard to socialize a puppy right now!

We are doing outdoor private lessons, and outdoor group classes start back up in June. Check out The Right Paw Obedience School on Facebook for a more detailed post on how group classes will look for a while. ..

About a year ago, my husband and I started looking for a property to expand my business, so I could have a training space of my very own! Shortly after starting our search, I met Darlynn of The Right Paw in Princeton, MA.

I knew of her, knew that she was a well respected trainer in the area and that she had been in business for a long time, almost 3 decades. What I didn't know until I met her was that she was looking to retire and pass her business on to a younger trainer.

This past Wednesday, my husband and I moved in to the house on The Right Paw property, and as of Thursday I am now the PROUD new owner of The Right Paw Obedience School!

Over the next year you'll see a blending of "Banks K9 Solutions" and "The Right Paw", think of them as one in the same! Banks K9 will continue to offer the same in home training and board and train. While The Right Paw will continue to offer group classes taught by Stephanie Duca and private training taught by me!

Thank you Darlynn for putting your faith in me to take the reins, thank you for this amazing opportunity!

We are busy teaching virtual group classes! Last night we focused on down stays while a YouTube clip of dogs barking played.

Earlier this week we had a puppy class and a basic obedience class start. Not only do these group classes give you stuff to do with your dog, but we also have a private support group on Facebook where students can share video of what they're working on and ask questions.

All of the group classes are being taught by me through The Right Paw, check out their website for more info. Www.therightpaw.com
