Creamsicle (pale orange) and Zest (cream yellow)
Creamsicle and Zest are 3 year old bonded brothers. They lost their home, no fault of theirs right at Christmas. Instead of spending Christmas with their family and other cat friends, they found themselves in separate cages in a loud shelter. They weren't used to being alone, so they were terrified. Luckily a volunteer saw them posted on the shelter website and stepped up to foster the boys and reunited them.
The brothers are protective of each other, always watching to see where the other one ran off to. They sleep together, play together and sometimes get in wrestling matches. They're still scared and are afraid of trusting people, because those who they trusted failed them. Although, each day they're a little more trusting.
Creamsicle and Zest are very loving. Churus and Temptations treats are their favorite. Zest loves chasing the red laser dot and one day he is certain that he will catch it! Creamsicle hasn't decided what to think of it yet. They both enjoy being petted and purr loudly while making biscuits, they still aren't sure about being picked up, but once they can trust again it shouldn't be an issue. They faithfully use their litter box and like lounging on the couch.
Both boys enjoy spending hours looking out the window, watching the neighbors intently. They're the neighborhood watch after all.
The boys were with other cats in their prior home, not sure about dogs. They would do best in a quiet home, older children would be fine. Most of all, they need understanding adopters who are willing to give them love and some distance while they earn their trust again. They will be the best lap cats and bed buddies in no time at all.
They're requesting an endless supply of Churus, Temptations and toy mice.
These amazing boys are available for adoption through Cherokee Humane society.
