Great Pyrenees Rescue Resources Utah Montana We are a 501c3 working to help support the rescued Great Pyrenees in Utah and Montana. Sometimes we have seniors 8 years or older and their fee is $100 or less.

Our adoption fees are $275 for adult dogs and $400 for puppies under a year old.

We're excited about the show this week. Weā€™re back at Skippy Skippins Rescue & Rehab.
We will get to see Truffles, KitKat, Kitty, Heath and Taffy, and as many more as we have time for. Weā€™ll also get to meet for the first time, the Spud Litter!
Can we do all of this in 1 hour? Once again, who cares?

Meet Miss Lucy! šŸ¤šŸ¾ This big bundle of fluff has a personality just as big as her heart! She loves lounging in the sunshine, digging herself a little dirt bed (and then napping right in it!), and soaking up all the cuddles and ear rubs she can get. She even enjoys being brushed, which is a good thing because thereā€™s a LOT of Lucy to love! Sheā€™s a goofy girl who gets the zoomies, takes her home-guardian duties seriously, and has perfected the art of counter surfing. Leave food unattended, and she may consider it a personal invitation!

Lucy gets along wonderfully with cats and her small-dog foster sibling, though she needs proper introductions when meeting new dogs. She warms up well to visitors and loves being close to her people. She also has ear allergies that require some extra care, including avoiding chicken. Beneath all that fluff is a sweet, affectionate girl looking for a family who will embrace her quirks, respect her needs, and make room for a whole lot of love. If you have a soft spot for giant fluffballs with goofy personalities and hearts of gold,. DM us if you think Lucy might be your girl.

Meet Kumo! šŸ¾
This handsome young guy may not be an Akbash, but heā€™s certainly earned his honorary Akbash status! DNA revealed a Lab/German Shepherd mix, and his love of water, fetching, and adventure certainly fits him well. Heā€™s been making the most of life with his foster mom and doggy siblings, proving that the best days are often the ones spent exploring together.

Kumo takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once you understand that trust is earned at his pace, thereā€™s a whole lot to love. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats, and heā€™s been having a blast at the dog park. Kumo is currently being fostered in Idaho and is looking for someone who will respect his boundaries, let him settle in at his own pace, and give him the time he needs to feel safe. Meet Maggie! šŸ¤šŸ¾ This beautiful Great Pyrenees girl has found herself looking for a new home through no fault of her own. When her previous mom lost her home, Maggie needed a safe place to land, and our rescue was there to help. Now, this gentle, people-loving girl is ready for her next chapter. She especially adores children, is friendly with adults, and is even good with cats and is leash-trained!

Maggie is a confident girl with a little Pyr independence and a personality of her own. Sheā€™s housetrained, has basic training, and enjoys a moderate amount of exercise. Sheā€™ll need a securely fenced yard with a 6-foot fence and thoughtful introductions to other dogs, as she tends to prefer male companions. Maggie is waiting for someone to see the wonderful dog she is and give her the forever home she deserves. Could that be you? šŸ”šŸ¤

Duke & Miss Maggie.

Some partnerships just belong together. And these two? Theyā€™re a pretty wonderful example as a bonded pair.

Meet Maggie, the gentle soul who loves cuddles, adores children, and has the patience. Sheā€™s affectionate, calm, and happiest when sheā€™s close to her people and pal.

And Duke, her youthful, playful sidekick. Heā€™s a big-hearted boy who loves being near his humans, enjoys a good cuddle, and is wonderfully gentle with little ones.

Both are good with livestock like goats and pigs! However, just like their human counterparts they canā€™t keep their minds off chickens. They are incredibly smart and want to learn.

Like many Great Pyrenees and livestock guardian dogs, they need secure fencing. These two are talented escape artists, and keeping them safe is especially important.

Right now, theyā€™re being fostered together in Northern Utah, where their current location near a busy road makes finding a safer home particularly important. DM us to learn more!

Darby is a stunning Great Pyrenees/Akbash mix with a heart as big as his paws. After being left at a shelter with his littermate following a divorce, this gentle boy is now thriving in foster careā€”and ready to find his forever home!

At around 130 pounds, Darby is a big boy with an even bigger heart. He loves attention, enjoys leisurely walks, gets along with dogs and cats, and would prefer a home where he has a canine companion.

Heā€™s not asking for a perfect family, but donā€™t be surprised if youā€™re his perfect match.
