I fell in love with a baby, one day, and asked, "what is this animal?" The baby just looked up at me and raised it's front legs up to me to be picked up! I picked him up and he snuggled in my hand. I was lost.... fell in love and since that time, I have been raising them. I have done extensive research and documented my own education as I have raised many babies to adult hood. ly hand raised so they are use to being handled by humans. They all have a small casque on top of their head instead of the large one. These generally, is indicative more of a curious and pleasant chameleon

Mine enjoy meeting new people, riding in cars and watching out the window. I always have one on me somewhere, in my coat in winter or on my head or shoulder in the summer. Mine are also raised in cages with the doors open. They are allowed to roam freely in the living room or bedroom and climb the plants if they want to. We "live" with our chams. We don't keep them in cages to look at. They are part of the family.

Here is my new girl. I love the block head and small casque. Her colors are going to be gorgeous that she will breed into her babies. The smaller the casque the more friendly they are.

Her personality is calm and relaxed. She likes just sitting with me on my hand or arm while I am working on my computer.

However, I'm not sure about using any substrate as if it is NOT done correctly, it can grow mold which leads to respiratory infections in your chameleons.

If you try this, please make sure you do it exactly as he said to counteract any growth of mold.

For myself, I do everything except I do not use substrate. I have tried, but it grows mold then I have to remove all of the substrate and wash everything that was in there.

I also don't put f**a trees in a cage because they are not strong enough to hold the weight of a chameleon. Babies yes, but I prefer Shefflora plants from home depot. They have good stalks that they like to climb as well as rest on. Big leaves that hold water.

Over-all I like what he did in composition.

I have switched back to the veiled chameleon breed.

The reason I have left the Ambilobe chameleons is because they didn’t have enough curiosity to explore new things like the veils do.

The specific veils I am referring g to are called calypatrus which are a subspecies to the original veils that you see in pet stores.

Veils that have a tall casque or a casque that has a bend in it and they lean backwards or have a little hook at the point are the primary specie of the veils.

They come from the upper elevation of Yemen or Saudi Arabia.

Those that I raise come from the western slopes of Yemen toward the ocean. They have a different personality.

I will attach photos of the difference.

So I have a female and a male now that I can breed.

So what is the difference?
The sub specie are curious of what is around them before they react. They study their environment. Mine love to go for car rides and enjoy watching movies with me.

I missed their intelligence.

So here is the new little lady. She is just coming into her colors and also her hormones are developing as you can tell she is getting blue spots. She is between 7-8 month old.
