The 4th of July has arrived. We are coming at you with our last tid-bit of advise for keeping our floofs safe.

We have been talking about all the different things to prepare for the celebration, what about after? Well, I haven’t forgotten how much of a mess it can be after all those fireworks, sparklers, and pop-its are used up.

So after all that fireworks fun, remember to scoop up those sparklers, leftover fireworks, and any party debris and toss away In a trash can. Our pups think everything’s a snack! Let’s keep them safe from the ‘oops I ate a sparkler’ moment!

And of course, Happy 250th America!! May you all be safe and enjoy all the great food and fun times. Keep in mind, we are the Land of the Free because of the Brave! 🇺🇸

The tongue wagging crew is ready to zoom into the 4th of July celebrations.

We still have a couple more tips to prepare for the big day. We talked about creating a safe place already. A secondary tip for that suggestion Is to block out the big explosive sounds and flashes so our pups can’t hear it as well and they don’t get startled

Muffle the Sounds:
To soften the sound of fireworks, try layering in other noises your dog is used to. Turn on a white noise machine, a fan, the TV, or all three! Classical music or soft nature sounds can be particularly soothing. This won’t cancel the booms entirely, but it helps mask the intensity and creates a more stable background atmosphere. Also, keep the curtains closed. That helps block out the bright flashes.

It’s July 1st and the count down continues. You probably ask, are there more tips to prepare for the big celebration? Well, of course there are.

We talked about creating a safe space for your furry friend. Well, what are they going to do with their time? I know!! Keep them distracted !

Offer Positive Distractions
Provide activities your dog enjoys, such as:
* Stuffed Kongs
* Lick mats
* Long-lasting chews
* Puzzle toys
* Favorite treats
These can help redirect attention and create positive association.

Our little furry friend, Tilly, is in the drivers seat and is keeping an eye out to make sure there are plenty of those treats to go around!!

We are coming at you with another little tip for 4th of July festivity safety tips for your fluffy friends

We can’t stress this enough: if you are going to a firework extravaganza, please leave your dog at home. Even confident dogs can become overwhelmed or disoriented at public fireworks shows. The crowds, smells, and sudden explosions are too much. They are too much for me and I dont have near the level of senses of our floofy pups
If you usually leave your dog in the backyard during events, please reconsider. Dogs have been known to escape fenced yards in a panic. It’s much safer to keep them inside where you can control the environment.

Make Sure They’re Wearing ID Tags and are Microchipped.

Despite our best efforts, accidents happen. That’s why proper identification is one of the most important 4th of July pet safety tips. Before the big day:
* Double-check that your dog’s collar
fits and includes a readable, up-to-
date ID tag.
* Ensure your pet’s microchip
information is registered and accurate.
These things can make the difference between a safe dog inside your house, a lost dog staying lost, or coming back home.

Dont wait until the last minute—vets get a rush of these requests every year. Plan ahead to ensure your dog receives the help they need.
I couldn’t stand the idea of losing one of my patriotic pups!!🇺🇸
