Homeward Pet's mission is to transform the lives of cats and dogs in need through compassionate medical care, positive behavior training, and successful adoption while building a more humane community. We started with simple goals: save and re-home cats and dogs and educate the public about spaying and neutering their pets. In 2002 Hooterville became Homeward Pet Adoption Center. Each year Homewar

d helps over 1,800 cats and dogs find their forever home. Where do these animals come from? 20% are owner surrenders and the other 80% are animals we rescue from shelters that euthanize. We remain small with a staff of 25 (half are part time). And our 400+ volunteers are our backbone (thank you volunteers and donors!). Many of the rescued animals who come to Homeward get more love and attention in our shelter than they have ever known. Our shelter continues to grow and improve.

Woodin Creek Village Apartment Homes is hosting Oktoberfest again, and we want to see you there!

Join us Saturday, September 19 from 11 AM–7 PM for a full day of food, drinks, live music, and Oktoberfest fun. While you’re enjoying the festivities, stop by the Homeward Pet booth to say hi, learn more about our work, and help support pets in need.

Proceeds will benefit Homeward Pet, so come raise a glass and help us make a difference for local animals!

We're so excited to be partnering with K&M Automotive this month!

We had another great week of adoptions, sending 29 pets home with their new families! 11 kittens, 9 cats, 5 puppies, and 4 dogs were adopted!

Kittens: Colorado, New Mexico, Lynx, Tennessee, Cooper, Beignet, Pepperoni, Marinara, Extra Cheese, Malasada, Zeppole

Cats: The Great Gazoo (after 7 months!!), Lorelai (after nearly 9 months!), Mikey (after 4 months!), Bobette, Aristotle & Galileo, Po, Cheeto, Falon

Puppies: Bermuda, St. Augustine, Bonnie, Clyde, Tank

Dogs: Otto, Rosie, Ruby, Carla

Happy Tail: Mac & Marshmallow!

If you remember these two, you know they’ve been through a lot. Marshmallow came to us battling a severe flea infestation, while Mac arrived with end-stage glaucoma, severe dental disease, and open wounds from fleas. After getting them the care they needed, including removing Mac’s eyes, these two were finally ready for a fresh start. Knowing what these two have been through, it makes our hearts so happy to see how loved they are in their new home. Their adopters recently sent us this sweet update:

“Just wanted to share that we recently celebrated Mac and Marshmallow’s birthday! We had some friends over (the dogs loved the extra attention), and did some Mac & Marshmallow Jeopardy, with their paw-tograph as a prize :)”

Thank you to their amazing adopters for giving Mac and Marshmallow such a loving home!

The voting period for Pet Mayor of Woodinville starts TOMORROW! Here's a look at all of the candidates we have currently, and we can tell you, there's some tough competition.

If you haven't submitted your pet yet, this is a fantastic way to get involved with your community while also helping raise money for Homeward Pet. You'll have the chance to vote for your favorite candidate until September 11th, so let the campaigning begin!

The winner gets a meet and greet with Woodinville Mayor Sarah Arndt, a yard sign featuring your pet and declaring them the Pet Mayor of Woodinville, plus recognition with that same sign at our 5K on September 19!
