RIP Harvey

There are never enough words to explain the loss and emptiness when you lose your beloved pet, your competition partner, your best friend, your teacher, your child, your HORSE. Harvey was a Legend. Harvey was the full package unicorn. Harvey was my second Pegasus. If you know me well, you know Dusty was first Pegasus. When Dusty got seriously injured I was extremely lucky and grateful for my life time coach Diane and my Dad to find me Harvey to keep pushing my own development while rehabbing Dusty. Harvey was in my life for 20 years. This new empty hole in my heart and soul will forever belong to him. Harvey has touched many others rider’s lives as well for he was a barn favorite. He had the bouncy strides and gave you his full attention for every course and every ride. When he “semi-retired” from my competitions he stayed healthy and muscular strong while teaching beginners, pony club, UCLA college team and so many others. Harvey got to later move to the state of Montana with Diane and live in beautiful huge rolling hills grass pastures. I was so lucky to visit him there last year for one last ride, for one last hug, for one last kiss. Liver failure took him yesterday Sunday Jan 18, 2026 from us at the age of 30 years old. I will forever miss my pet, my best friend, my competition partner, my child, my second childhood Pegasus, my horse named Trelawney aka Harvey.

There are no strong enough words to share and support California as I am glued to the tv and staying updated on all my fire iphone apps during this apocalypse fire history record breaking Los Angeles 5-7 fires take away your homes. I am devastated and still in shock as I watch my old neighbors burn. I hope everyone is safe. I hope everyone evacuates in time. I hope all horses and house pets are safe. I hope all my past clientele are safe wither i have taught you one horse back riding lesson or years of riding together, and-or pet house sitting I have no words on how much love and care i am sending to you all from WA.

Teddy and I first trail ride in Gold Creek Park🦄🌲☔️Teddy was perfect on this advance skinny slippery wet forest trails. I am learning the map and definitely not repeating a certain hill until rain is over. We love exploring new beautiful places together. This 7 year old brain warmblood is so brave. Walked about the whole trail on a lose ring just hold the buckle. I am so proud of this gelding’s growth process in both physical muscle and mental trust.

Congratulations to Teddy for exploring new places with me and giving everything step his best effort forward.
🦄our first time competing in a Mini Grand Prix and getting to be involved in the victory gallop lap with a ribbon around his neck.
🦄our first time riding on this property and learning where everything is (Teddy never spooked at any of the new surroundings including the echoes from the indoor arena)

What a long successful week. Look forward to coming back to future competitions here at evergreen equestrian park.

1.10 meters and 1.15 meters all weekend long and we got some blue ribbons.

Our first time competing at Cascade Show. We meet so many nice new friends.

Our second time competing at this location, Washington State Horse Park, really starting to love this facility.

The next horse show is at a total new location for us so back to learning everything including the most important details like where are the bathrooms lol

What a wonderful long weekend that was.

Officially Teddy and i have shown our very first competition in our home state of Washington. The WSHJA hosted a fabulous organized event at Washington State Horse Park.

On a more personal note I am EXHAUSTED.
This competition was my very first full weekend competition alone. Horse, two dogs and myself that’s it. I am so grateful for all the new friends I meet and made around the barn ales, show office and ring stewards. Everyone was so nice and extra helpful as they learned i was alone.

Selfishly I would love to give a huge shout to all my amazing California clientele, friends and family who have been so helpful for my last handful of shows. .dropsy .kikuchi_ .itis and so many more of you guys. I knew how much help your help was but now after this weekend i felt the biggest difference in my riding as my muscles were too exhausted to finish my last class course.

Doggy note- Little Man is truly understanding and loving the horse show life. They were perfect waiting in the tackroom as I was out riding. They loved hiking the new huge competition grounds as we explored and got to learn where everything was vendors, catering, show office etc.

Teddy note- I am so proud of this horse’s development. Teddy is now showing 1.15meters. Through the whole weekend we did 1.0m, 1.10m and 1.15m classes. Teddy was perfect exploring the new location and never being nervous about anything. We also got to do long stretching walk trail rides around the xcountry course.

Future note- Teddy’s owners agree to hire a groom for all his future horse shows, i will be writing up an aid and looking forward to working with someone so i have more strength and energy for the competition rides.
